Critique required Kell's 52 for 25 - Week 51 and 52.

Just to clarify - the reflection/see through is caused by there being a wall to the rear of me in the shot. As it's dark, you get to see through the window where the wall is reflected. Above the wall, it's bright, so you're seeing the reflections. It's further confused as it looks like the double glazing has one curved and one flat panel. SO you're getting two St Paul's for example.

Took me a while for me to work it all out and I shot it.
 
I like your chosen shot Kell, it has that double-exposure feel which adds some depth and interest
 
Week 8 - Street signs

Admittedly not new shots, but I thought about how I could combine several previous shots to make a new idea.

When I was a kid, we had Stop, Look and Listen signs at level crossings plus adverts on the tellybox warning of the dangers of unmanned crossings on rail tracks.

So combined three shots to convey that message:

It’s been festering in the back of my head for ages but I’ve not yet come across a written word to convey listen to complete the set.

But I think (if you’re of a certain age) then your brain probably fills in the blank and the shot of the ear works.

I like that pattern!

I like the B&W one a smidge more, but that is just me.
 
Agree with your choice of the colour version, nice job on the straightening and correction

What a great subject for the theme Kell. I think that you chose the right version but I could see myself going back multiple times to see how the structure changes over time and in different conditions.

I did watch a video a while back about the straightening. You literally draw lines on the bits you want vertical and/or horizontal and it does it for you.

It's very simple. Sometime I use it then back it off slightly so you still get some perspective, otherwise it can look odd. But for this instance, it made sense to make everything as uniform as possible.

Week 11 - Animals.

Couple to choose from from a walk this weekend.

I would have loved to put forward the cormorant, but I shot it with my Sony RX10 and it never quite gets the final IQ right for me. So I like it, but I don't love it.

What I do love though is trying to do something I hope no one else will. So my submission is the sign. Mostly because it begs so many questions.
