I've always had a guarded opinion of Sky.... this took it to an all-time low. From this perspective Sky missed an opportunity to gain my respect. Hardly complicated.

I have only just discovered this thread, very strange IMO.
Yesterday, there was "wall to wall" coverage on ALL the channels of the D Day commemorations (and rightly so IMO), including the epic film "The Longest Day", which I watched for the umpteenth time.
I forget which channel it was on, but I don't have Sky, just the normal Freeview.
Did the ferry companies and coach companies charge to take the old boys over? If so do they feel your wrath?
Sorry can't agree with the op. We live in a commercial society. Does the op think all the vets. who went to Normandy to pay their respects didn't have to pay for that "privilege" Why on off does the OP feel anybody is being disrespectful if they don't agree with his rather funny perspective on life.
Really still can't see what the OP is getting his knickers in a twist over. It's a film nothing important really.
