weekly Judi's 52 in 2014 week 33 and 34 added

Well that's a book I won't be reading, I know the ending now. Good interpretation however I find the flash a bit harsh though but then that's me and flash.

Fancy having your granddaughter over for the day and making her cry. what type of person are you
its a really good idea, flash is slightly harsh as been mentioned
but I do like them (y)

Quick off the mark...... Nice take on the theme I like it.
Thank you Mandy :)

Its a very good book even tho its sad Martin,
thank you :)

I like this idea very much. I have no crit except I would have liked to see more tears...
Lol

Thank you Simon, I got into enough trouble for spoiling her make-up as it was ;)

Certainly on theme Judi, the clean, black bg works well in the first two (y)

Hi Judi

I think I'm going for #1 , looks more natural to be reading the book than looking at the camera . Just enough of a tear on her face , great black bg :) flash -harsh -been mentioned ....saying no more ;)

Very nice take on the theme, prefer the 1st photo
Thank you colin :)

I like the first one, it looks more real, the second looks a little more staged.
thanks Mark, :) It was the other way round, the first staged the 2nd as she looked away moaning about her makeup being ruined

Thanks Lynne not got to grips with my flash guns yet, used to studio lighting :)

Hi Judi
Sense - #1 for me as the toning seems to suit the book - just a bit more light on the rose i feel.

Ending - on theme and well posed. Lighting has been mentioned and I would have liked to have seen more separation between the young girl's hair and the b/g

Good idea. I prefer #1 as the most natural shot.
thanks for commenting :)

Hi Judi....how nice to have a grandaughter that will pose so nicely :) I prefer the first shot, as I think she looks more absorbed in her book, it looks more natural....perfect for the theme.
Thank you Susie, the biggest problem was stopping her giggling the whole time :)

thanks Alan i like that one too, the book was a creamy colour and the rose yellow before i changed it to sepia :)

I'm not very good with flash and couldn't get enough power from the lights, which is now solved thank goodness, thank you for your comments :)

I much prefer #1 which does fit the theme better. The lighting has been mentioned but the photo has been staged nicely with no unwanted clutter.

Thank you Peter :)
Ending: Hi Judi. I vote for numbere 1 also. It does look more natural. I like you thinking here, and its nice to see how you've planned and executed your idea.
Thanks Jason, I had a lot of trouble getting the lighting anything like right so am quite pleased with it. :)
Another for the first shot, nicely lit.
Thanks Kev. :)

On theme, nice subtle lighting and all the ingredients for a good photograph.

Crit, just looks a little static and staged...which I know it is...

Cheers.

Hi Judi,
Quick off the mark with positive, my choice would be the second one with the closer crop (y)
A literal take on the theme but effective all the same. Good work, take the rest of the week off :D

2nd for me Judi, more pleasing composition wise (y) although colours does look better in the 1st........... you missed a bit of oil when cleaning it though ;) :D

Hi Judi, first one for me as there is a red something in the BG of the second one which distracts me away from the other red thing
can you tell I know nothing about cars
the reds a lot better in the first too (y)

thank you Iain, I will go put my feet up :)

Hi Judi

quick off the mark with a subject fitting for the theme....preferring #2 for the more 3d angle & closer crop :)
thanks Lynne :)
It fits the the theme but for me, I feel a little boost of the red and a tighter crop would work better. Sadly doesn't excite me, but well done for getting a shot in early.

I doesn't excite me very much either Mandy, Thanks for looking

ohh and I thought that added to the picture Phil ;)

Nice, on theme, maybe could do with a bit of a boost to the red ??

The colour on #2 is about the colour of the bit whatever it is, but I take your point, not very interesting is it :)

Literal, sometimes really works and the minimal colour emphasises the positive.

Cheers.
THanks Andy :)

I didn't notice that show how interested i was in the subject Allan, it must be a reflection as there is nothing red in there:)

Hi judi.....it's hard to make a battery look too exciting isn't it .....but it's bang on for the theme, maybe a others have said a boost on the red would give it a bit of ooomp.
Ta Susie, not exciting, but its worked, and i can put my feet up when I get round with my commenting :)
