The blame should lie with everyone concerned.
Wossy and Scruffy for actually doing it
The producer for allowing it to happen
The editor for allowing it to go ahead
The editor in chief for allowing his staff to broadcast it
By error of judgment, I meant it was a stupid thing to do, but when you look at his whole career, it's not his normal behaviour. Maybe he got caught up in the moment of doing it? Everyones allowed to make mistakes I suppose, but how they are punished depends on how much responsibility they take for their mistakes.
If it was a first time doing something (like I think it is for wossy), he takes responsibility for his error of judgement, apologises and makes amends for what he's done, fair enough, strike one, slap on the wrist.
But brand....this is who he is. All his 'comedy' is just to shock and offend, for cheap laughs. He's a talentless tool, and didn't even have the audacity to be truly apologetic.
As a broadcaster the BBC have a duty to set the standard, which wossy does for the most part. His show is actually entertaining and informative normally.
I hear today, complains have reached over 4,500 and OFCOM have launched an investigation.
Good. To do this to anyone under the guise of 'humour' is just wrong, but to do it to the legend that is Manuel is just sickening. He's an icon!
He appeared in only 12 episodes, and he achieved more laughs and showed more talent than Brand ever has
