JD's 365.

365/09 211 Donegal, Who Cares!! (Does Anyone Really Look At This? I Could Type My Pin Number, And Nobody Would See It. Could Be My Safe Storage Space For All My Pin Numbers....)

Silly me forgot to lift the camera this morning, unfortunately I had the P&S in the van. It felt really strange not to have the D90 with me, I missed it. So I had no enthusiasm for taking any shots today. B&W has saved a very bland and uninteresting shot, I think it adds quite a moody look, which I like. I just wish I had had my baby with me...:(

Can really tell there is something different with that last one (even before reading your comments), it's good to use the P&S now and again to make you realise just what a great tool a DSLR is. This image just looks flat, I would have tried some freaky PS processing

sounds a good place for details JD, dont forget everycredit card detail required to use it online. i wont look!!

Day 212. Cowl, Wet And Shakey.

3776384832_fc47dac4b0_o.jpg

After my nice night out I got a call to go to an alarm system at 0345, didn't get back home until 0500. So tiredness today has been a factor. Didn't start work until 2pm, but hardly slept. 3 hours work was quite a nice friday, wish I could have more of them!! I hadn't intended to use these shots for today but what the heck. They are soft and shakey, with raindrops all over the lens. Even holding the camera on the tripod tightly didn't eliminate the shake. I prefered this one out of the 4 or 5 I took. It's more natural looking in it's shakeyness.

Definitely a spot to revisit, when it's A. Not raining. B. Not Blowing a gale. and C. Not freezing.

Looks like winter :o

Like the slow shutter effect of the water

Cheers mate, I actually removed one of the filters while I was there, I was fed up waiting for the 30sec shutter.

I like the shakey'ness......gives it a sort of old look if you know what I mean. :)

I will definitely return to this idea, I just picked completely the wrong night!!

Day 213. Not The Giants Causeway.

Busy day, had planned to go to the Pride march in Belfast, but while on my way I got called to a job in Bushmills. This shot is on round the coast a wee bit from the giants causeway. Had planned an ND long exposure shot, had it all set up, then realised I had forgotten a tripod mount!! D'Oh!!

Will try and catch up tonight with everyone else's shot, I'm going to my aunts for dinner. :D

I like that

Ta Lisa. :)

Very nice JD. And a call out to Bushmills, the distillery? :naughty:

Close, was to a large country estate that has recently been refurbished to the highest standard I have ever seen. Marble everywhere, I counted 2 BMW m3's and a f350 Ferrari in the driveway. I did ask if I could take a couple of shots but they declined. ;) I may have permission to go back and shoot the grounds which lead right down to the shore. Beautiful views and a jetty with a 40ft boat. How the other half live!!

Like the composition of today's

And you have a macro at last :) nice one!

Macro would have been today's shot had I not been called to the North Coast. I can't resist a bit of rain, wind and a landscape!! :naughty:

I actually clicked that link.
No I didn't think it was real but I did think somebody had set it up for a laugh... Might be a good idea you'd probably get a good advertising revenue off there.:suspect:

Might have a surprise for you later...

Day 214. Fly Me Away. (See what I did there??)

Had a lovely day in Thomas And Lady Dixon Park in Belfast. (Can't believe I'm saying this) Some lovely flowers and plenty of oppurtunity to use the Tokina in anger. I'm astonished at how sharp it is. I'm sure I need a lot of work on my macro composition, but to actually get shots this sharp the first time out with the lens makes me feel good!!

Great composition on that, fantastic for your first use of the Tokina, well done mate !!!!

Great shot dude, damn I feel a new lens coming on...
b****r, no money left

Nice one Jonny. Natural light or flash?

Natural light Dave, handheld. I found the focus move in and out trick worked wonders. I swapped between A and S all day. Tried at few at M, but with the light changing so much, I found it a lot better to stick to either an aperture or a shutter speed.

Oh, hoverflies are ****in quick, I bow down to you, oh Macro master!!

Day 215 Obligatory Macro Eye Shot.

I've had a very strange day, have felt very up and down emotionally. My head has been completely away with it recently, I've been forgetting random things. I completely forgot where I was supposed to go this morning, I had written it down, but for the life of me couldn't remember where!!

This is the shot probably everyone with a macro has. So this is mine.
