JD's 365.

Day 110

008.jpg

More or less flat out to the mat all day. I'm only in after an afternoon fault call to Derry. Was originally on my way home at half five, but got called back due to other problems. Any way, can't stay on long, I've paperwork to do and an order list to make out for the same job again tomorrow!!! :(

As usual, another JD fantastic sky, in fact is that sky or some sort of alien mother ship descending :exit:

Day 111 (Only 254 to go)

022.jpg

Another fantastic day spent in Donegal, I can't believe I get paid for what I do!! This is a slightly different view of the same bay I've photographed many times before. Was a good wee dander down to the rocks but I think it was worth it. I was actually trying to find something other than a landscape to photograph today, but since I was in Donegal I couldn't resist!!

Some interesting rocks there JD, looks like you need to mind your footing and camera ;)

Was a bit slippy on the way down, but no bother!!

Excellent shots the last couple of days - especially that sky! I thought I was lucky working in Switzerland (and I am) but I reckon you have it pretty good as well. :D

I would have to say that Ireland is probably the most beautiful country I've seen. If we had better weather I'm sure we would have a larger tourist industry. :)

Loving today's shot JD. Could have done with a boat though. ;)

I'll let you hire one?? Pick me up say Tuesday next week?? :D

Day 112

Another busy day spent in Co.Donegal, I forgot to take the camera so all I have was a bit of messing about with the macro stuff. Thought I would spare everyone another landscape photo. ;)

Day 113

020.jpg

Another view of Slemish Mountain. Taken from the top of the Cullen. Was busy again, only really got to stop for a short while and then onto my next job, it's about all I would have got today.

Day 114. Knockagh Monument.

014.jpg

Quite a relaxed and non-busy day, felt very strange!! Was stuck in a food production factory in Carrick all day so this is just a grab shot on the way home, I originally planned to take a picture of the view of Belfast with the monument in view as well, but the weather had other ideas, you couldn't see Belfast!! I'm heading to my wee bro's 21st party tonight. So be warned, drunk JD might be on later if I can work out how to switch the computer on. ;)

The sky in day 110 is superb!

The volcano looks like an interesting place :)

Day 115 Woodburn Waterfall.

Thomas's 21st went off without a hitch, everyone made it home ok. Hungover today, so what do you want to do when you are hungover? Walk round a reservoir, of course!!!
We will probably be continuing the party on tonight, I have 30 beer in the fridge and an extreme thirst. ;)

Had no tripod so had to make do with trying to handhold the shot.

f/22 0.4sec iso100. It's about the best of about 10!!!

For handheld that is a cracking shot JD, steady hand even after a night on the sauce ;)

Well that should get you through the first 10 minutes, what is everyone else drinking? :D

Stereotypical view of an Irishman, I hate to have to live up to it!! ;)

I wish I had a fridge like that

I'm actually really considering a fridge especially for  Would save having to walk to the kitchen all the time..

Great shot, is that representative of the beer thirst for this evening?

Cheers SM, it is a bit soft but probably the best I could have done.

Day 116. Whoopsie!!!!

Spent today at the British Rallycross Championship at Nutts Corner. Great day had by all, it was freezing for most of it so we left a bit early. D90 came up trumps again. I took 752 shots across 3 4gb cards. Just going through them all now. Should have a few up in an hour or so.

I like today's picture, very well captured. Mine for today is on a very similar theme

Day 117. Gliding into Jail.

glider1.jpg

Very busy today, had a scenic shot from this location in mind all day, weather was lovely, clouds were perfect. But, seeing as I had the 70-300 on from yesterday I thought I would snap a few of this fella gliding about. In the background is Magilligan Prison, Is he landing in or taking off??

On another note, me being in the right place at the right time, the secretary of the gliding club was also watching from the same vantage point. To cut a long story short, I've to send off a cd of a few images and maybe, just maybe, I might get some work out of it. :)

Day 118

35-70.jpg

Busy again, took a wee tour down the west side of lough neagh at lunch time, took a few pictures. None were any good, so here's a lightbox picture just because I can!!!

I use this lens with the macro tubes, it's a bit handier having a zoom instead of a fixed focal length. Really sharp lens, not bad for free!! ;)
