Daily Jake's 365 Challenge

Some really great photo's as always Jake  I love the panning, far better than my efforts in the past, you've been doing really well since my last visit :D good to see

Thanks Matt! I'm at Combe on the 10th and 11th of May, so hopefully another few nice shots to come :)

He's almost the same colour as the background - naughty cat.

Day 88

88/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

Went for a walk with Poppy today around Stanton Park. There was a field of sheep and lambs, and a gate allowing entry so I went in to try get a photo of the lambs, with just my 50mm prime. This little one stayed very still and allowed me really close so I managed quite a few photos of it! It's so cute!

Canon EOS 40D|50mm f1.8

I like that photo of Mangoe - he shows great character and good taste in his choice of expression when faced with your camera! Fat buggar though!

A34, well, what can I say? Amazed to see a road so nice and quiet. The central reservation thingy looks good!:lol:

Murano glass is 'interesting' - you actually bought your Mum something that looks like a cross between a cat and a virtual autopsy of a cat's last meal?:D Nice focus on the head, though and good DOF.

Cute lamb - you did well to get quite close as I find they normally run off or Mum shoos them away before I can take the shot! :)

For some reason (because it's not usually my thing!), I really really really like day 86 Jake. I think, over the past few days, I've found a new appreciation for the real "documentary" type photography and this fits well with that type.

I am partial to road shots for some reason  that lamb is cute too

Thanks Sam! :) He's really camera shy, normally turns away!

The A34 was really busy, I just took this shot at a good time!

Yes, I did buy my mum a cat with a fish in it's stomach! I thought it was cool!

This one was all on it's own! Poor little thing! It did run off when I stood up though!

Love the lamb :) So cute.

Thanks Sarah

Thanks Toni! To be honest it was just a fill shot!

Thanks Vince :)

Day 89

89/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

After 3 failed attempts at getting this shot, first due to my stupidity, and the others due to the weather being rubbish, I finally got it last night. This is 188x30 second exposures, stacked in StarstaX and edited in Photoshop CS6. I'm really happy with how it has come out! Especially for my first time stacking a shot!

View it on black, its 100x better!

Brilliant, Jake - I wouldn't have thought it was your first go if you hadn't said so!

Nice work Jake. This is still something I am going to have to get round to trying.

Hi Jake a quick catch up from me. Love the concept of the apple shot, and the dashboard shot too. The cat made me smile too, the way he's sticking his tongue out at you, and a great star trails shot, especially as it's your first....something I'd like to try one day.

Sooo hard to predict when there will be a good sunset....glad you waited though as the sun rays coming down through the clouds are great.....

The startrails shot is a good first effort and like with everything, practice makes perfect, look forward to seeing some more over the rest of the year.....

Thanks for catching up Simon! :)

Thanks Jeff! I'm glad I waited also, I've put a couple of others on Flickr from the same day if you're interested :)

#90 is gorgeous Jake!

Thanks Toni!

I like Day 90 - those rays really make the shot!

Day 92

92/365 by JRTurnerPhotography, on Flickr

This was taken around 30 seconds after the sunset on the ridgeway tonight. The colours in the sky are as they were when I took the shot! Down to the right out of the shot there was a family of deer grazing in the field also. It's a shame I have such a short range on my lens!

Thanks Vince! This better weather and the arrival of BST makes getting out a bit easier. I tend to fall more into my element when I can make it in time for sunsets after work, and the weather perks up a bit!

Day 93 is a cracking shot Jake. Works really well as the colour balance is spot on, the focus is good and you have stars.

Thanks Sarah :) I was trying to focus on the cars as they came past, considering they were doing around 60-70+mph I think it focussed quite well.

Having a quick catch up here, very impressed with the gamboling lamb and you first star trail shot is well impressive. I will have a go at one of those this year.
