Not Marmite (although I like it on toast [and licking the spreading knife!]) but I use to have Bovril with Ryvita (buttered on the naughty side!) as a cold/flu food when I was a kid - about the only thing I could keep down IIRC!

Yup, delicious, although IMO, a bit of Bovril mixed up with some mayonaise and grated Cheddar (as strong as you can get), spread on toast then lobbed under the grill... :drooling:!

They're also poisonous IIRC. Mind you, most things are in large enough quantities - IIRC, I need to eat about 20kg of chocolate for it to do me harm. Challenge accepted!!!
 
Sliced (sharp tasting) apple, cinnamon and a sprinkling of brown sugar makes a rather tasty sandwich too.

Not enough mayo in the mix to make it runny, just as a binding agent really. Even better when topped with crispy bacon (but leave the Bovril out to avoid a meaty clash!)

I'm not even sure if it has to be done by qualified sparky or not these days,
but its just like wiring a plug. Same colours same terminals.

I wired a plug on a hairdryer incorrectly once.
Switched it on and blew a foot wide chunk of plaster out of the wall.
I tend not to trust myself with elastic-trickery these days either. :lol:
