. My primary concern is now for the future. We have Capello as manager who seems determined to keep his position but refuses to admit we played poorly in 3 of the 4 games we played; Algeria being the only team who he agrees we played poorly against. If the other 3 games match the standard he expects from England and think is the best he can expect from our star-studded squad he's the wrong man for the job. We have an under-performing squad who are evidently unsettled but don't have the stones to voice their issues. Unlike most I think Terry coming forward to try and arrange a 'clear the air' session was exactly the right thing to do and showed why he was once the captain (before he scored in the wrong net 
). Shame Gerrard and the rest of the team can't follow through and voice their changing room backstabbing in a constructive fashion. Instead Terry is left hanging out to dry by the rest of the team. Great team spirit fellas.

if as i belive there is a lot of truth its a shame that the players did not speak out before the world cupI was never a fan when he was appointed, and I've never been a fan of his tactics since he's been appointed. Face it, we played Andorra, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and the Ukraine in our Qualifying group... Forgive me but with the exception of Croatia, we should be knocking teams over like that with no problems at all with that squad!
I'd settle for struggling through quali and knocking teams over now thanks, rather than the other way round
A good club Manager he maybe, but that doesn't make him a good National Manager!
Apart from that I think his reluctance to accept there is anything wrong with the performances over the course of the past 4 games, the performances themselves, his seemingly tactical naivety at this level, his intransigence to look at other tactical options or formations I think does mean you can measure a man through one tournament.
I'm sorry I disagree entirely for 6 million reasons
Effectively Capello was employed to steady the ship, get us qualified and win us the World Cup. We had a great qualifying group which we cruised through (which we should have done regardless), and when eventually the going got tough, we looked appalling! Even before the tournament started we looked poor, and given the group we were in the teams we were with made us look very very average.
Oh I think we can easily measure him, sadly we've come no further forward than with the Wally with the brolly from a few years ago
Yes, as I said he is a good Manager, club Manager where he can have an impact on his players with his persona, however it's obvious it doesn't work at international level!A glass half empty person if ever I saw one, unfortunately this is a perfect example of the epitome of an english mentality.
