he'll be open - bear in mind that its not the cafe at the beach (thats the sea shanty which isnt trust owned), its the old bakery tea room, more or less opposite the forge - parking in the small Nt carpark or behind the village hall

Ok this looks like a suitable dare!

Count me in.

I need to get to a supermarket now and find a disposable ASAP.

Why - what's happening Thursday? Did I miss something?

nothing Arthur, just that several people have said they want a nudge to remind them about the challenge starting next weekend, so on Thursday, I am going be sending out said reminder to everyone, which will give the slackers that forgot a few days to buy themselves the camera ;)

I'm up for this! :D

just had a visit from another TP member who will hopefully be signing up when he gets home :naughty:

Sorry for being so slow.....

Just ordered a 27 exposure Fujifilm thingy!!

I need to figure out how I'm going use my wireless triggers with it......I'm thinking some sort of tin can on the end of a piece of string device, but I haven't a clue how it'll work!?!

I'm in!!

Two Fujifilm thingies hit the mat today, one to practise and one to play :D

Boots have a BOGOF on the Kodak disposables at the moment..

At the end of the week, I will start a picture sharing thread to post some of our results. You can post as many or as few as you like, but at least one, even if you think its rubbish. The thread will be open for critique too, at least on composition and content if nothing else.

Having checked the rules YV posted (not having to post the entire film is handy with children).. I should now be +2 as I have a nephew and his friend over that week and I'll chuck them a disposable each. However, I will have to stagger my week as they arrive half-way through next week and leave half-way through the following week ;)

Hi Yv, I found a disposable in the supermarket today. Been thinking about it since you first posted, so I guess you can count me in now.

Jenny

Will add you to the list Jenny

Excellent

Oh and of course the thread will run for several weeks to allow everyone chance to get their pics processed

Stick my name down please for a laugh!
I don't actually get off the oil platform I'm currently on till Tuesday 9th, but I'll order a disposable so it's waiting for me when I get home.

I ordered them from Firstcall Photographic too on Tuesday morning and they were delivered on Wednesday!

OK, picked up a couple of Fuji from Asda so I'm definitely in and I've challenged my youngest as well.
Where's everyone getting them developed? Asda and Boots only have those digital kiosks now.

I have ordered a firstcall one aswell, ordered tuesday night, not here yet and have a cheapies on standby, but hoping it arrives in time.

As for developing, snappy snaps on the high street can do them, some tesco stores that have a photolab can sort them [my nearer store does, the next nearest has a digi machine but not sure they do films anymore], or there are several on-line options such as CC Imaging and firstcall can too I think.

im in off to spain for two weeks on monday so will be fun and now intresting

I've just realised that we'll be in challenge week when you come down to see me next wednesday

this will give a great opportunity for a new photographic discipline

disposable macro potraitography - the discipline of capturingan image of a hobbit in the wild ;) :suspect: :exit:

:p

you will have to do a photo with me stood nearest to you and Yves & Nod further away... make me look normal height :D

Got a 36 exposure disposable, so I might get one or two to show..
As long as we all have some fun with it that's all that counts IMO..

I got one from Max Spielmann. They're doing them for £5.99 and that includes dev & prints if you take it back to them. £10 for two. They've got under water ones as well.

I don't hold out much hope of getting anything half decent out of it....

I ordered a couple off Amazon, a normal kodak 'funflash' 36 exposure one and a waterproof one as I have a daft idea I want to try. Probably won't work, but still I want to try!

Im really looking forward to this as it is my week in center parks :).

Just for reference, I just went out and snapped off a test camera [got a box of cheapies I have had for ages. still hoping my Crossbird will arrive in time] and handed it to snappy snaps for 1 hr developing - which was £7.99 for negatives & a disc - didn't bother with prints for this one as it was really just to see if the film is still ok and the batteries in them worked.

I might have to drop out of this, have searched all available junk drawers and not located said camera. Will check and see if I can source one locally at a reasonable price though :)

My local asda were knocking out Polaroid 27exp hobbies for £3, might be worth a looky in your nearest

I am not sure she has one where she lives...if my memory is working correctly that is

Nope, definitely no La Asda here ;) I fear it will have to be a one stop developing shop - could be quite ouchy on the purse

Well, muchas gracias :D

Very kind of you and I've just located the missing camera - but it's been baggsied by Girlie #1 who is going rafting next week, and doesn't want to take her proper camera  I'll see if she'll save me a couple of frames ;)

As I mentioned a couple of pages back, if anyone gets a B&W single use camera then I'll be happy to develop and scan the results for them as B&W processing is so expensive and rare these days and one person has already asked me to theirs. I can't do colour unfortunately as I don't shoot enough of it to make the fairly high costs worthwhile, although I am happy to 'cross-process' anyones colour films in B&W if they want (although I can't quite guarantee top quality results as of course your not actually supposed to do that!)

Drop me a PM if your interested.
