iPhone 3G - Who else got one?

I only get one when outsite. When in the office or at home i get the [E] symbol.
 
im sure mines kerplunked....the apps are not working now...touch one and it pops up then straight back to home screen
 
thanks everyone for your help. I think they are very tempremental. I in installed the apps and downloaded then again. Still pretty cool though. I sent this message from my iphone as the wife has hijacked the laptop
 
the little square with the dot is the slowest data carrier :(
Can't remember it's name at the mo ....... But it's slooooooow

I say 2.5 because I'm yet to see a 3G logo :annoyed:

It has the same software glitches as the 2G v2.0 phone too :(

Gps is soooooooooo cool though :D
 
Sooooooooo, does anyone have a fully working, totally functional and non glitching 3g phone then? :thinking:

I don't think that such a device exists :(

I still have server not responding messages, error 302 in safari , no 3G and still laggy.

I also still have the weird screen jumping thing when typing a post if the screen is expanded :eek:


Not that impressed with the change tbh apart from the GPS and the extra 8gb
 
i think my 2G one had less issues than this 3G one
i've had quite a bit of buginess on this iphone
the funny thing is that even with these issues its still by far the most reliable and usefull phone i've ever had
 
The updated Last.fm app is WAY better than before. It buffers so much faster and doesnt crash... still no scrobbling, but that probably wont ever happen.
 
mine is working proper now...

even though i was told to put my old sim card in...i had to port my number to the new sim card...

old sim was not worthy of the iphone...


everyone who has the iphone needs at least the phone saber app and shazzam...midomi is cool also
 
Carphone Warehouse were determined to prevent me from having an iPhone. Two weeks of misinformation, missed promises and downright lies. I've never come across a supplier with such contempt for a paying customer.

So I cancelled the order on Tuesday and midday today I just happened across an O2 outlet that had a couple 16gb phones in stock. The deed was done, but it took ages as the prats at CW entered my order onto the O2 system - this morning, two days after I cancelled.

I'll probably end up with four :(
 
glad you've got one blue, it's a great device.

Don't let the software niggles put you off it, 2.0.1. Isn't far away :)
 
Actually 2.1 isn't far away. Its been sent out to developers along with the push API.
 
i'm sure i was told that O2 bills are emailed to the account owner now instead of sent through the post. As i am only 10 days into my contract i have not had my first bill yet, so can anyone confirm this for me.

Yes they are emailed.

Also, for anyone that uses it, you can now use MSN,ICQ etc on the iPhone using Palringo from the app store. Oh, and like all good iPhone apps, it's free!

2.0.1 needs to solve some major bugs for me

Safari gets stop errors 302 a lot
Safari also tells me the server has stopped responding....lies !!!!!!!!!
Safari has a weird screen issue if posting a quick reply with the main window zoomed in

Key board is laggier on v2.0 than it was on 1.1.4

I get the odd accelerometer issue from wake up to, but it doesn't seem as bad on the 3g as it was on the v2.0 2g

But on v2.0 software with my 2G and it is a marked improvement imhgo ... :thumbs:

Only thing I could whinge about if I was minded (but I'm NOT ... :lol:) ... is the battery life is noticeably shortened ... :shrug:

I'm not seeing any real difference in battery life between 2G v1.1.4 and 2G V2.0.0 and even 3G v2.0.0

Anyone who needs a hard case to save the pretty little phone from being damaged ,I can recomend the griffin wave :)

Decent case size wise and it has a touch through screen protector.
