KeyPad for Photoshop (CLICK) sounded like a great idea so I tried it yesterday. Turned out to be just hard work to use in practice and, I reckon, less intuitive and slower than keyboard shortcuts. It's only just over a quid and is interesting to try but for left hand controllers I'll stick to my trusty 3dConnexion SpaceExplorer.

<EDIT> Nearly forgot... 'Plants vs. Zombies' was brilliant on the PC but even better with the touch screen!

I'm looking for an app that will handle fairly complex tables in word .doc format

Pages & Office HD just screw up, anybody got any other suggestions ?

Virtuoso - FREE - Piano on the iPad

PCalc Lite - FREE - Calculator, this is something the iPad doesn't have from the start, a calculator.

BeejiveIM - £3.49 - Best messenger app out there, it even stays log in when you exit, and push any messages like a text message on an iPhone onscreen to tell you that you got a message while you are in another app. Which you can choose to ignore or go to BeeJive to continue the conversation.

Air Video - streams video from your network, transcodes from non-iPad friendly formats on the fly. Quality dependent on your processor in the server machine. Very cool.

Zinio for magazines loks like it will be amazing on the ipad. All I need now is an Ipad

It's amazing ;)

Citrix something - Connect to Citrix published apps

It's called the Citrix Receiver (they pay my wages btw) ;)

If you've got the Receiver on your iPhone you can use it as a bluetooth mouse too ;)

Yes Citrix Receiver - I have used it to connect to our XenApp farm at work and run some published apps - it is excellent.

Will try the mouse bit today - thanks

Indeed - it is exactly what I wanted from a digital interactive magazine (and more). I just hope that some other titles jump on the wagon too !!

Other Apps

National Geographic World Atlas HD - £1.19 - Geography never looked this good!

I've been tempted to get Elements too, as it just looks gorgeous but it's £7.99 :(

Elements is meant to be very cool but I bet it slows down your iPad syncing somewhat !!

Little question: What does the "HD" stand for? Just got my iPad yesterday, so I am watching this thread with interest.

What I would REALLY love: A way to use my iPhone as a modem or hotspot. Connet the iPad to that, and surf on my iPhone data account. If only... *dreaming*.

I believe you can do that if you jailbreak the iPhone...

'HD' is just the de facto moniker developers are slapping on all their apps that have been re-jigged to use the iPad's larger screen.

Check out MiFi. Stick a data-enabled sim inside and it becomes a WiFi hotspot.

Everyone go find £0.59 somewhere and get FlickrStackr NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an App !!! OMG, it makes flickr fun to use ! its amazing !

So did I. :)

I hope they add the discussion threads in groups to this app. I agree, better than the official Flickr app for iPhone.

Having never used Flickr, can somebody give me an idea what it's for :D

Nowt to do with photography, very expensive but....

If anybody is interested in making music and has been envious of the tenori-on then check out Aurora Sound Sound HD on the iPad. I paid up my £24, I've no idea what I'm doing, but I love it.

Thanks all! Superb Thread! All up to date.

Going to download FlickrStackr and Elements tonight. Cheers

Apologies for delays in updating - having a hectic time!

We don't publish magazines!!!

The receiver connects you to your application delivery infrastructure from your lovely IT department.

Eeek. My bad.

Is the amendment better?

Not got it personally, a friend at work uses it on his iPhone to connect to his home and work pc's, he thinks it's great.

I bought Reeder, I love it. Google reader basically.

I also bought Angry Birds. SOOOOOOOOO ADDICTIVE!
