It has just become available on my phone. I haven't clicked install yet, but will soon :)

I thought it would be good to have one thread for all iOS devices to discuss experiences, praise, moan etc

Seems fine to me. Slightly hiccupy on an ipad mini. There is also a glitch with messaging, I have sms forwarding on. There seems to be an odd display error where a message is out of order. Only happens on the ipad. It's the right order on the phone.

It's making me crazy! Photos are now zoomed to fit the screen. I want to see the whole photo!
What device do you have this on? Mine look just fine on an iPhone 6+. In fact I can't see much changed at all in iOS9.

iPad. And the only way I can get to see the whole photo is double tapping to zoom further in, then double tapping to zoom all that way out.

Upgraded and now my ipad2 is awful. Very slow response to keyboard input, (sometimes freezes and then input appears a couple of seconds later) Browser is so slow that it is painful. When will I ever learn.

Give it a few days, caches need to rebuild, indexes recreated etc...

Think it is something to do with search history display. My mini 1 did the same with some previous updates. I turned that off and it was loads better. It's probably turned that on again or is beggaring about building some database of things. I turned mine off and on again and it was a little better. If you have cloud backup then it can be a good idea to wipe the entire thing and reinstall apps from scratch and set up like a new device. Doesn't take too much time to do and it does clear out crud and gremlins.

No problems here, everything seems to be running fine, iPhone 6

Any idea where to find that on an iPad?

Fixed!.... Went to Settings/Safari/Advanced/Website settings/Clear Website settings.
I've had to re Login to each site I use regularly but everything is now running much faster and keyboard isn't slow either.

The sounds have stopped on my messages & mail since the upgrade no idea why Phone5s but ringtone still works

There are lots of complaints on twitter and elsewhere about peoples equipment crashing after the ios9 upgrade

Yes, I had issues with my other half's iPhone 5, it was completely frozen with an unresponsive screen saying 'Slide to Upgrade', I followed the advice given by Apple to connect to Itunes and restore the phone, but it did not work and the phone was still unusable See here for their solution.

In the end I had to download and restore the phone back to IOS 8.4.1 and then restore the phone contents from a backup - this wasted most of Friday.................. so will wait for IOS 9.1 or later release before trying again. :D

But the Ipad's had no issues and appear to be working OK, supposedly we will see a better battery life; with the new low power mode doing things like halting background refreshing of apps, and cutting off animations. But the phone still performs all its key functions, but it's too early to tell if it is helping.

Company phones where the users have now upgraded to iOS9 are now incapable of connecting to the company WiFi, can't see the SSID at all....

Excellent work Apple :(

Only difference I've seen is the task switcher, which to be honest doesn't seem to be an improvement so to speak, and battery lasts the same for me, so business as usual.

An SSID, IS a SSID. I don't think Apple can't distinguish between home SSIDs and company SSIDs.

Everything working fine here since upgrading 2 iPad airs and an iPad Air 2

Not entirely sure where you were going with that... All I know is that devices on iOS9 can't see it, but can see other WiFi networks. Our Meru network is being ripped out anyway in favour of another vendor so its not as catastrophic as it could have been :)

Having used it now for just under 24 hours, the changes are very subtle but definitely there.

I like the new application switcher, and whilst I like the "back" button, I think it is way too small and placed in the wrong location. To coin a phrase "Jobs would never have allowed that" :)

Search has become annoying in my opinion. If I want to do an Internet search I'll do one, I'd like my device search just be the device. I got to hunt for a setting that changes that.

But overall pretty good. I've lost 37% since 11am yesterday morning so that is pretty good as well.

Anyone updated their ipad4? Not sure if I should do mine? Thanks

I'm loving the multi colour Siri feedback.

Do not know if it is the new IOS but, my wifes Iphone 5S worked with Zedge last time tonesync was used (admittedly a while ago). After the upgrade tonesync opens itunes but says there is a connection error.

Upgraded the iPhone 6 and so far so good.

I used the battery management whilst away from power over the weekend and worked well, keeping battery power for when I wanted/needed to use it. (Y)

Its driving me up the wall TBH nothing works anymore and the phone crashes every 10 minutes ive gone back to thenlast update on IOS8 now problem solved

Two iphones and two ipads upgraded and all appears well so far.

I note that the calendar 'finds' appointments in your emails. It doesn't sync these to the calendar on OS-X devices but no doubt this will come in a future upgrade of OS-X. I initially thought this was a brilliant tweak until I saw an 'appointment' found from an email which isn't an appointment at all. It had found an eventbrite email merely inviting me to book an event. I'll see how common this might be before I decide to switch off the new calendar named 'Events found in mail'.

Very strange, from thread creation to every follow up post I've done via iOS Safari.

I live in safari and TP on the ipad. I did notice the first time I went to post the button didn't respond straight away. Then it was ok.

If you haven't closed down all apps and done a device restart yet then I'd try that next.

+1

My Battery is running 10x longer than it did on IOS8, I only have a iPhone 5 and its made a great improvement to the phone, really happy myself with the update :)
I have no problems on 6+ but my wife has an iPhone 5 and the battery drains much faster! Any ideas anyone?

I have done the upgrade on an iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPhone 5c (phew, that seems to be quite a list) and they all seem to be just fine. I really love what it has done do the iPad Air 2.
I am now wondering whether or not to upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite on my MacBook (I am worried that some of my older, expensive, software may not work on Yosemite).

Notifications and background app refresh. It's probably added a few apps into both. The more of these you have on the more the battery drains. Also it takes a few drain/recharge cycles to calibrate itself so I'd see if it's the same after it's been charged a couple of times. New better battery display will show you where it's going.

One of the wife's friends has just upgraded and lost 4 years worth of messages etc ...

Never had a problem personally, previously, but am waiting a few days this time...

Surely they've made a backup before applying an upgrade ;)

On another note; Apple Pay is super quick now. No more people bumping into me on the underground. Really good update in that area.

This post is from safari on my iPhone6 running iOS9. Seemingly no problems here.
