Thanks to Gremlin in my for sale thread, she kindly offered to send me a spare Nikon lens cap for free. I actually like the fact it's got a Nikon lens cap on it :D

I've got Nikon caps on all my Canon lenses - much better than the Canon versions

THere are loads of different sizes available. I just picked one at random (+ I'd looked at them previously for my lenses which are 58mm - the canon ones are a pain in the bum when you have te hood on)

looks good marcel, stops dust and other stuff getting in there so why not, if the name did bother you, just sand it off or paint the whole thing to match the lens

Looks to me like an inspired use of something to hold one's Nikon lens cap safe while a proper camera/lens takes a shot - similar to me having 5Ds to chock my car's wheels on a hill, or hold the door open on a warm day; much more useful for such than a brick, as someone may steal the brick !!!

Canon gear does have its uses you know, and congrats to Marcel for finding a photographic use for Canon gear, even if it is only to hold a Nikon lens cap

On second looks, i've seen that your protecting your precious canon gear with a invaluable nikon lens cap! That way, nobody cares if it gets scratched :)
