Hi there...
As a personal study for my A-level I've decided to have a crack at Infrared photograhpy. I've checked my camera and its picking up the infrared produced from a tv remote so thats ok... however I'm now looking for an infrared filter. Having a look around I can see that Hoya do the R72 and Cokin do the 89B.
However I study physics and I sat down last night thinking about infrared and what i'd be able to produce in terms of physics, and i then realised that red is the closest thing to infrared in the visible spectrum, therefore if I piled high on red filters (which I already have) could I come close to producing Infrared images through red filters and save myself £20/£30?
It was just a thought, and I just wondered if anyone could shed a little more light (No pun intended
) on the situation?
Cheers for taking the time to read.
