Now it's my time to be curious, what do you do Sharon and how does 'toging fit into your life. :)

From 09:00 - 17:30 Monday-Friday (and the occasional Saturdays and Sunday :'( ) I assume the role of Resource Controller in the Resource Planning department of a telecommunications company. Ive been doing this for about 6 years now and was with LTSB before this, doing the same job.

Ive always been a keen photographer - am I allowed to call myself that? ;) Until very recently Ive been stealing the SLR belonging to my brother in law.

I decided last year that I wanted to learn more and so enrolled in some evening classes at my local college. I bought my first DSLR last week (thanks to a certain gentleman on this forum - thanks again!) and I started a new college course last Thursday. I enjoyed my first week immensely.

I absolutely love taking pictures, I enjoy all aspects of it and im looking forward to becoming better at it and look forward to being able to post up some pics which I hope will be almost as good as some of the crackers Ive seen here since Ive joined.

Thats me!

I'm a PSO  There! my secret is out of the closet.

Edit: Oh, and photography isn't part of my work. Very much a hobby.

Im a nail artist.
I freelance & teach the art of nails ... but I sooo would love to be a studio photographer's assistant instead.

Btw, Jo .... what is a PSO... or do I have to Google! :)

Well the first letter stands for Phone and the last stands for Operative, I'll let you imagine the middle letters meaning  it will probably be right :naughty:.

quote from Andrew
"I work in a classic car restoration workshop."

what cars do you work on ? I used to do this as a hobby because all my cars were really ancient and rusty... Often wondered what it would be like to do it for a living. lol

My gowd there is some posh names for certain jobs..

Put that into plain english and tell us again.:D

Thats not my job, i'm not allowed to swear on here, so descriptions of my torture will never make it onto screen

I run an adult entertainment agency (male & female strippers, comedians, burlesque troops, cabaret acts, etc) so sometimes put my hobby to use when I need up-to-date photos of some of the acts.

Bob, cool. It just so happens that I am involved both in cabaret and burlesque, and am doing a promo shoot for a circus dwarf and a magician tomorrow. ;) Fascinating and fun world.

I'm an insurance analyst and photography is just a hobby for me

Wedding photographer - was previously general manager of a marketing service company.

Photography was a hobby until I got made redundant three years ago, when everyone told me to go pro, so I did, and here I am.

I work with predominately Lancias from the 1930's and occassionally earliers typically ending with the Fulvia and the Stratos, not much with the later FIAT derived models.

It has its moments, but some of the costs for restoration can be frightening as its very time intensive. You're unbuilding a car, repairing the individual components and then building it up again.

Kind of spoils it as a hobby, in the same way I guess turning your photography hobby into your day to day business may spoil it as a hobby.

I'm a home body at the moment, my man keeps me.
I'm an experienced tailoress, worked in designer clothing and more commercial stuff eg; M & S.
I'm an experienced upholsterer too, from the framework to the fabric.
I make and ice cakes for profit, from 3 tier wedding to christening and birthday cakes.
Practically and craft you can name I can do.
I've been a supervisor for Ericsson's, teaching wiring and soldering techniques for telecommunication switching systems. Saved them thousands of pounds once when I noticed they'd got the wiring spec's wrong on a new system.:rules:
I'm an avid gardener and am always seeking to increase my knowledge of plants.

Oh and I'm just tiling our bathroom, floor to ceiling.:D

Is that all?

Wow, you are amazing!

Michael.

I'm easily amused...

... and I also run a mobile motorcycle workshop business.

I've done flipping loads of things over the last 30 odd years,, usually connected to mechanical engineering, metal things and suchlike.

I originally trained in horsemanship and as a farrier.

I've loved photography since I was a teenager, but only started taking it seriously again recently ... I do sell a little work now and then, and have worked in the passed as a poorly paid tog for a small bike mag.

Hi All, I'm an Airline Captain, Manchester based, spend my days zipping around Europe in my Boeing 737, get some great views.

Is that all?

Michael.

I thank you kind Sir! :D

Forgot to mention the photography, I got my first grown up camera (meaning all the manual doohickeys) for last Xmas and I'm loving learning about it.

I'm afraid im just another Professional Geek.

I deal with the MOSS 2007, SQL 2000/2005, Uniface, Oracle and IIS systems at a University College in the North of England.

Photography is a hobby, I find it has calming influences which come in very handy. :)

Why did you give it up Adam, it seems like a fascinatingand financially rewarding occupation even though it knackers your back.

Yeah, some regrets their perhaps, but my back was already showing signs of stress at the end of training, so I guess I took good advice and moved on, although gutting at the time.

I went on to train wild Irish hunters for the army at Salisbury plains, very rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable so I soon forgot my frustrations ...funny thing is years later was taught The Alexander Technique which to this day has kept my back in fine condition, unlike my two brothers who both suffer from pains etc. ..if only I known it before eh...although it may not have been enough with 15/16 hundred weight of horse bearing down on it. So, overall it was probably a good decision.

I want to ask how your blond love is going now Colin, :D although this thread is the wrong place .. I hope all is going smoothly?

I am a full time foster carer for local council with a little bit of time for my hobby
