I'm a midwife, working within the ever failing NHS and trying to make women happy by trying to meet impossible Government targets, and doing the work of 3 people :cuckoo: Not for much longer though as I'm going to live in Canada next year :woot: where I will still be a midwife, but with much better working conditions.

As for photography, I've always been interested and went from a point n shoot, straight to a digital SLR, mainly because I wanted more control over the photographs I took. I completed the first year of an A level photography course last year (done on an evening at the local college). Photography is and always will be a hobby for me.

Retired (from being a millionaire jet setting playboy) :cuckoo:

Composite engineer making masts for race yatchs (Amercia's cup,Volvo Ocean race ect)

Always been into motorsport and photography is a by product of that.

I'm a Resource Coordinator in the Water Industry. Give Mechanical, Electrical and ICA engineers work to do on Wastewater Treatment Works & related assets in North Lancs and Cumbria. Do more boring stuff like investigating why certain assets always fail etc.

By weekend i am a dogs body for a friends race team. Team enters in the Clio Cup (1 car) and Mini Challenge (4-6 cars). I get paid in beer and food :)

Retired scientific photographer. Used film for all my pro work. gave up completely when I retired but have started again as a hobby using digital this time.

Reprographics Team Leader working in for a commercial litho printing company.

Spend many a happy hour retouching all sorts of pictures which kinda is the only photography related part of my job, rest of the time I sort out customers poorly supplied artwork and make it into something we can make plates from (Printing not Dinner).

Currently I'm finding it very hard to juggle work/DIY/photography. Work is taking priority, still got loads of DIY and until last weekend I hadn't picked up my camera for nearly 2 months. But I do have a wedding (video) to do this weekend so I will also taking a few snap shots too. :D

I'm a graphic designer for a large publisher, specialising in cookery books oddly enough - spent the last 12 years tidying up other peoples photos so decided to take my own - love it as a hobby and want to keep it that way.

Full time Dad / House Husband, to these two monkeys.....

your name looks right to me :naughty:

You wouldn't like a Toblerone m8, it's full of little crunchy bits that get stuck in the teeth :gag:

You never said anything about getting the details right without cheating though

;)

Assistant Project manager for a large supermarket chain. Travel the country and spend more time in hotels than at home.

I wanted a reason to get me out of my room, and so my hobby began. :)

I'd love to be good enough to go pro, but that'll never happen. :shake:

Technical Support for a webhost.
Tog at the weekend or when ever i can get out of the office and away from the computer/phone

At the moment I am working in the Thin Film Photonics research group at exeter uni physics dept. Then when term starts again I shall be doing my 4th of 4 years of a physics degree at Exeter uni. After that.... No idea :D

Oh I can beat that.

Even though I'm a time served tuner with qualifications in CAD and CNC work. I currently load vehicle's for a laundry business, a labour if truth be told, crap job, rubbish money, but the hours are ok as it's job and finish, work 30 hours get paid for 40.

Photography is a rather new hobby

Did 26 years in Electronics Design / Project Management now I'm a Health and Safety Consultant in the Construction / Engineering sector.

I've gone from working with stuff you can't see to working with stuff you don't want to...

* I was very tempted to say I'm a Welder by day & a Dancer by night :D

I teach underwater sky diving !

Yes i'm ****ed :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

MD of food distribution business, owner of independant greengrocer shops, deli and coffee shops. Know the food business pretty well and will probably use these skills for the rest of my days however photography and visual imaging is a love for as long as I can remember and would be my alternative career if it paid better - way better! :D

Staff nurse in a coronary care unit. Photography has been an interest since i was a child and in the last year I have been getting into it more seriously (just ask the bank manager or my wife!). I cant image finances allowing me to do it full time but never say never...

just been battered for not saying hi to my family...... (Im home at the moment)
OK I must say hello to my family who support me. (in a rounda-bout way)
(My family Wife & kids) SAY if I stay out for the other 200+ days they are happy, just come home for birthdays and Christmas and dont miss work for the other 100ish days

Baker for 15 years, petrol station pump monkey for 2. Now professional 'tog......Mostly shoot posh houses for estate agents but will do most things for cold hard cash (NO WEDDINGS, BAH MITZVAHS but will consider funerals)

I travel around installing, repairing and customising machinery and process control equipment that makes corrugated and solid board for the paper based packaging industry....yep, the boxes that your camears and lenses came in.

All this dumps me in some far flung place for several weeks at a time and away from home 220-240 days a year. In the past 12 months I've been around Europe, Aus (4 times), NZ (6 times), South Korea, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia.

Initially it might sound a tad exciting..believe me it isn't. I see hotels, factories and airports...about 110 flights/year (don't ask about my "Carbon Footprint!). I plan to hang up my tool box and laptop next year and spend retirmement trying to get a focussed, correctly exposed and well framed shot...something that's eluded me for the last 30+ years. When that's been achieved, I'll die happy.

Been a HGV driver for the last 31 years but can tell you I am giving it up real soon because

"I WILL WIN THE X-FACTOR"..
