I'm probably in the camp that thinks every photo's a cliches that's been done a thousand times, but there are some shots you would happily not see another of for the rest of your life. Everyone has there own interests and opinions and this threads is not to be taken seriously so don't get offended.

So i will start it off. My if i never see a *** picture it will be too soon pictures are

1. Another tightly cropped bird on a twig.
2. Another water drop.
3.Another pet cat/dog.

:)

Too bad for you if you use Flickr or any other photo-upload site then :D

For me it's the sideways, "from the hip street shot" - y'know, the ones that were obviously shot slyly because the photographer was too scared to face people while doing so - then disguises it as art street [usually with heavy vignetting and grainy B&W] when processing later.

another HEAVY HDR landscape shot, why spoil something beautiful in most cases

I'll second Liz's obviously HDR and add popped colour to it.

1. groomsmen lifting the bride up

2. baby/toddler oof shot (but it is my baby!)

3. long exposure car light trails

4. Readers wives

5. Kids on swings

Baby and children shots.

I can avoid most of them by simply not looking, but some b****r always sneaks them into threads unannounced!

I don't mind 'some' kid shots, like when they're made to look like orphans, I love doing that to my kids in pictures :D

Worse for me than any child or pet photo is the 'model in a wheat field' shot, usually with sun flare coming from behind her, add soft contrast, beige tones all round ... she's looking away into the distance like she doesn't realise she's being photographed ... Grrrr ... Hold me back!

1) Shot from the hip street photos
2) Anything shot by PMN
3) Cross processed hipstagram
4) Retina burning HDR
5) Light trails

:lol::lol::lol:
I really dislike B/W conversions which aren't done properly.
If you can't do it, leave it in colour!

I really dislike most photos posted on this site, as they just show how mediocre I am

Just 'cos I loathe Flickr
- any more out of focus, poorly exposed, badly composed or cropped, wonky horizon, backs of players football photos

:thinking:As an amateur just starting... That's about everything I was going to take pictures of! :bang:

Oh, and any more pictures of grey snow ...

Pictures of cappuccinos with swirly cream shapes on top

Oh, and painted nails ... yeah, Flickr used to get swamped with those and they'd make explore somehow :/ and shots of backberry phones ...

We seem to be running out of ideas!!

We've all done it! In fact I'm still doing most of them now. It's not easy to shoot something truly original when you're working with my limited imagination.

Window lit shots where the subject is staring out of the window.

Milky water, particularly ones with that bloody wooden pier thing in the centre.

Models in wheat fields as mentioned above.

Any flash portraits where there is a harsh shadow on the wall behind them. Move them away from the wall.

Wonky horizons. I'm always doing them. It drives me nuts.

With you 110% on this one - especially the new born 'head propped up on hands' / boiled baby look - I actually swear at the screen every time.

heavy HDR comes a very close second (it's a photograph - if you saw it like that then you need serious help)

Being into motor racing it's the 'super slow / nothing in focus / behind a tree or through the crowd / tiny car or bike shape in a pool of blurr shots.

and also up there is the obviously oof shot turned B&W cause it's arty. . . . no it's not - it's a crap photo turned B&W

AND BREATHE. . . . . . . . . . . . DAVID.

I'm thinking this is a second account from a reg ... or mad coincidence.

this is because it is the only view they see between texting and scanning facebook for things that might loosely relate to them and might come across offensive, then starting an argument.

Instagram photos in general for me...:bang: far too many under/over exposed photos run through generic filters and people thinking they look amazing - one of the reasons i got a 'proper' camera, all be it entry level...

what about dogs playing poker?

I thought about this and thought are there any subjects I strongly dislike.

I personally don't like those arty shots that look like snapshots, you know, the ones that look like they took 5 secs to take , then another 4 hours to write the lengthy, meaningful description to accompany them

It might have been easier ask Daryl what he actually likes pictures of

I know he must be in a permanent state of frustration. I can't say i've seen enough of most of them to get annoyed about.
