If I never saw another photo of........ it would be too soon.

If I never see another portrait shot, whilst the naked model stroking her pet is sat on the bonnet of a badly positioned car next to a 'misty' river with a kingfisher diving into it, taken at sunset with star trails over Oulton Park and then HDR'd it will be too soon ......

What is wrong with Oulton Park?????????? :bat:

Did someone say Liverpool?

Do a flickr search for "my feet". That'll get all of you coming back here and repenting.

A good image is a good image for me, so I'm not fussed.
My only bugbear are "my images" but thats because they are very frustratingly rubbish..

I agree ... especially the bit about my images... I'm my own worst enemy, I'm never happy with my work.

Prince harry or Will on a moto cross bike !! how many times this week do the papers need to run it !

What I mean is, I HATE LDR images that are fed in to software to create what the owner then thinks is a HDR image.

The refreshing images are the ones that actually contain a high dynamic range (i.e. bright detailed highlights with dark but detailed shadows) yet look like they were a regular single exposure...kinda like how the best special effects in films are the ones you didn't notice.

Me too. I like things quite subtle, when its enhancing an image. I have seen some HDR that was a bit full on and looked rather like CGI, I didn't really like it personally.:)

If I never saw another photo of somebodies tarted-up motor shot in a multi-storey carpark, it would be too soon!

Somebody's turned the horrifically invasive watermark machine on again, next time I see it, I'm gonna cut the plug off.

:p

any photo that people say is nice and sharp ..

when clearly its soft....:nono:

Sad thing is I love those HDR shots of Liverpool (anywhere HDR is done well), just waiting for you to move to Staines and make that look good - now that's a challenge

That's not a challenge, that'd be a miracle (innit).....

LMAO yes it didn't make much sense what I wrote looking back :D

My mate has a tendency to do this exact thing and I feel terrible saying that some of his post-processing looks really bad. How do I break it to him gently that you can't take an image, brighten it up/darken it down and then turn it into an HDR image?

Threads with the title 'The Missus' or 'The Wife', what's wrong with 'My Missus' or 'My Wife'?

Gig shots, they do nowt for me, despite being a music fan.
