Guys, guys! I did it, I fixed the broken plastic pin of the submirror on my EOS 300d. It was actually easier than I thought it would be and I saved myself £85!
I was just getting sick of manual focussing, I'd missed too many great snapshots and though, "enough of this", and set to work!
I think that I had the confidence to do it because a, I am getting a replacement in a few months and b, the 300d is dead cheap nowadays!
It only took a few hours when I got the last 2 screws out (the ones in the battery compartment) - I couldn't get them out for a while because my screwdriver couldn't reach!
At first when I turned it on some of the buttons on the back didn't work, but that was because I didn't attach the ribbon cable properly!
I think it easier to take shots of someone else’s pussy:nuts: then your own oops what I meant was (too late – way too late) that it is sometimes easier to take photos of other peoples pets as your own react to you but others don’t...
