Anyone else read the title and think Jon was asking about a camera body?
Looking at the size of some body cams, and I would be just as well using a DSLR camera and wide angle lens. lolAnyone else read the title and think Jon was asking about a camera body?![]()
Not in terms of any obligations imposed no. You have to be engaged in 'enterprise' which does include clubs etc, but not personal / household matters (such as you personal contacts / home CCTV).I believe GDPR applies to private individuals ( ie real people) too.

I agree about personal contacts etc. However you could have a group of individuals not members of club who are conducting some enterprise — perhaps a family history group —and collecting PII on others. Not in terms of any obligations imposed no. That is the only thing, a little too bulky.
Thanks for the input..
Been searching on t'interent for hours now, and not narrowed anything down. Most are too bulky and will only draw attention to the wearer, while the smaller ones the quality looks very poor.
Still on the search for something decent, will post any findings if anything suitable found.
You can also get glasses and what look like car key fobs, and of course the pen cameras. Someone gave me one of those pen cameras, to be fair it wasn't bad quality, good enough easily to identify someone and the sound was ok too. There are baseball caps with hidden cameras these day.
You turn it on by pressing a fob instead of running it full time ( so you can only run it when you feel threatened.
I can understand where you are coming from.
9 out of 10 people in the UK these days are t~~ts
You really need something that continuously records the last hour,or whatever, and very good battery life and easy to pop in a charger when you get home. I know nothing about gopros except that’s not what they were designed to do.
Still not sure what they are, but am I right in thinking its to record everyday events whilst out and about.
If so, why?
An early post in the thread explains what and why the original poster wants one.
They're worn by some police forces, and other emergency services (for evidence collection, personal protection, etc.)
They're also seen heavily in roles such as high court enforcement officers, etc.
For the same reason why we use our everyday cameras, to record events. Just I want to do it hands free, and readily available.Still not sure what they are, but am I right in thinking its to record everyday events whilst out and about.

Does that matter, he’s not looking for discussion but for recommendations on the camera. Nobody knows other people’s situations fullyAll seems a bit weird to me, .
It seems a bit weird to you?All seems a bit weird to me, only read he was mistaken for sombody else, guessing then its similar to what cyclists use to record run ins with motorists.
Beat me to it.Does that matter, he’s not looking for discussion but for recommendations on the camera. Nobody knows other people’s situations fully.
I've noticed some councils use an ID card holder with built in camera but can't find that on the net, but how about an ID card with built in camera? It's not that expensive to try either..

But I am only interested in what equipment people may use, not really about what is happening in my life.
yes, I do sometimes post what is going on in my life. But in this instance it is all about the gear.![]()
Yes but things happen now that we’re almost unheard of in the past, such as the deliberate road collisions for insurance fraud, partly due to the internet and the cameras are a defence in many cases.Didn't say you were weird, don't know you, so can't say one way or another, you brought up a bizarre incident
What I find weird is the intrusion into life of so much surveillance, yet mention ID card and everyone jumps and down
Despite all the cameras police have given up looking for the bloke who shoved the woman into the road on a London bridge
Actually I do find some people a bit odd these days, always waiting for something to happen, even look for it and then go on about feeling threatened.
Been reading up on it, if I can find one with better IQ. Obviously it will be more expensive, but willing to pay.![]()
Wow!9 out of 10 people in the UK these days are t~~ts
Wow!
The people I come into contact with it’s less than 1 in a hundred.
I’m guessing that means you believe we’re all t***s?
Wow. Why would you bother going on in such a horrid world.
............. my brother bought a lovely puppy. It got poisoned to death by his neighbours. How nice
