Brazil us a nation as part of the continent of South America.

A continent is a land mass, an Island is a separate land mass. As Britain is an Island, and Europe is a landmass which bar the channel tunnel is no way connected by any land to Britain, Britain cannot be included in the European continent.

Never mind our 2000 year history of wars with various countries in that land mass I cannot see your point. Other than to keep trolling me.

Our islands are, as you have been told, a part of the continent of Europe as Japan, also an Island is a part of Asia, and Mauritius and Australia etc

Brazil's national language is Portuguese. Does that make them a European nation (as Portugal is part of the European land mass)?

I wouldn't place Japan in a continent. It might be classed as Asia Pacific if you want to be pendantic.

Brazil ethnically is a bit of a metling pot (a mix of who was there before the Portugese came, and Portugese themselves), and they've been there so long its hard to call them Portugese because hardly any of their population has set foot in portugal, or even got living relatives that have lived there. It's a bit like a lot of people in Glasgow that describe themselves as Irish as they have a distant forebear that was Irish, but they themselves have been born and raised in Glasgow, like their parents, and grandparents. They are no more Irish than me.

I would therefore by logic given how long Brazil has been a country and its people are there, plus developed their own culture that they are not a European nation as you try, and fail to put. Why not ask a Brazilian your view, I have given you mine.
