Be warned, Nikon manual focus cameras can become addictive. Explains why I have 6 of them![]()
Good for you. Personally I am never happier camera wise than when I have a manual focus Nikon in my hand. They way they work & handle they seem to have a soul that plastic DSLR's & even my AF Nikon's lack. Be warned, Nikon manual focus cameras can become addictive. Explains why I have 6 of them![]()
I don't think they are prone to blowing up!
Steve.

I have just been visited by Mr Postman who brought me a nice 28-85 zoom Nikkor to put on my new FE2.
All of my other Nikkor lenses are pre AI.
Steve.

oooo thats nice. lens?

Well if we are getting all moist about our MF Nikons...

Wow I didnt realise this thread would go so mucky, keep em coming.
I'm on the lookout for a nice minty FG now for a spare and a few more lens's to add, hope to get a 28mm Series E next. anyone got one doing nowt![]()
Just brought a FG this morning! will have have to get some MF lenses, really want a 35mm 2.5 e series!

I'm after something similar ideally a 28mm![]()
Well I suppose you can't go wrong with a Nikon 28mm, but don't exclude all the cheaper 28mms around Why? well I own fifteen, and stopped down it's difficult to see the difference in results from most of them. But in saying that, if the difference between 3rd party lenses and Nikon, Canon etc lenses is just say £20 (or whatever you think reasonable) then go for the well known camera maker's gear.
Any suggestions I am looking for one but they are not 10 a penny as they say?
I think it looks like the going rate is about £50 maybe a bit more for the Nikon one.
