How does this Business Card look?

Just about to order 250 for £18

Before I do I want to know what people think so please be honest.

I wanted it to look simple but still effective.

aye not bad, i'd get rid of the copyright symbol myself though :)
 
I like the simplicity of it but i think theres too much of a gap between the top and bottom sets of text

Why not build in the logo which you are using in your signature block (maybe as a banner across the top)? It looks pretty swish to me.

would it look better with out the town name on?

I know it increases the gap but it might increase it enough to make it look like the gap is supposed to be there...if that makes sense
 
Town/Address and IMO not just a mobile number.

I didnt want to put my house number on as I never use it, half the times its turned off anyway lol its only there for my internet.

google 'vista print' and its the top link.

sure there are other out there but I found this template and wanted it lol
 
I've so far received 500 cards from Vistaprint, and all i paid was packaging.

They are always doing free (+P&P) offers, they wont be as personalised but for someone on a budget, they are ideal.

What I did was take a Vistaprint template then load my own omage over the top. Keeps their text template working but makes the card unique.

Paid P&P only for 250 and got a business card holder included.
 
Vistaprint make the worst quality cards I've ever seen in my life.... they're not even the right size, FFS.... :nono:

Am pretty sure any other Mr / Mrs Robson could call their newborn Adam........ :lol:

Other than that - yeah I like it lots...... simple, clean, effective.

I'll look out for that next time:thumbs:

As for Vistaprint being tosh, maybe they are compared to really nice ones that you'd expect to pay that bit extra for. But for someone like me starting out, they do the job.
 
the phone number layout is wrong
humans cannot remember a string of numbers above 5

so

you need to lower ADAM ROBSON so it is more central/dominant

then Photography
then Hartlepool

with contact details all at the bottom
and ALL these in the same font

you have 6 different fonts/sizes........:shake:

depends what work you want, but unless you are aiming to be selling pictures of bees, I'd at least change the order of the images around. target to your audience, not your favourite photos :)

not true - just try it by dialing - your eyes/brain will group the numbers into smaller amounts

true, buts its still not hard to read a number and press the buttons. ill try it and see how it looks though.

What they both said ^, except that personally I would break the number down as 077024 02359; not the usual pattern, but two blocks are better visually.

I would also use something other than 'info' as your email address, as it's a bit bland. Try adam@, ar@, contact@ or images@.

If it were me, I would block it as follows, with your current font sizes:

Would be better with a landline number (I know you say that you dont use it, couldnt you divert it to your mobile) and a full home/studio address. It gives a sense of stability and that you're not just a fly by night kind of outfit.

Just my 2p though.

Totally agree. The bee is the main picture and it's not clear at all who you're targeting. If you're targeting macro photography as your main business then fine, but to have a landscape, bee and child all in there screams hobbyist rather than pro to me b

Sorry if that sounds harsh but I'm looking at it as though I was handed one.

Landscape with a wonky horizon
Bee with it's wings clipped
Portrait with the top of the head chopped off

Reasons....

The film is on a slant, the online program does not allow you to rotate the image to fit into that angle.......great ey lol

Starting to have doubts with this now.

Reason being I dont 'specialise ' in just one area.

So how would you go around this with the images?

if I put landscapes I look like a specialist landscaper, portraits a portraitist etc etc.

As I dont just do one style I thought I would show a few.

you could look at it the other way and think......' oh look a business card, oh he only does portraits we wont contact him about some scenery shots I want'

Or I would make it more simple and exclude picture and change it all together?
 
I'd seriously pay the extra and get them printed with Moo, you can get different designs in the same order, so for example 10 with a portrait picture, 10 with a landscape and 10 with the bee. All three on one just doesn't work for me personally.

^This.
Vistaprint are cheap but they also make crap quality cards that are a funny size so as soon as your handed one you get the impression that the person giving you it went for the 'cheap option' and while cheap might mean good in some professions, I really don't think photography is one of them.
 
Cheers for all the tips, will give moo a look.

Indie fancy these plastic one but it's £120 for 100 and can't really spare that yet lol

I think that is a better layout for the text
 
I would seriously consider putting a landline number on there, mobile numbers are a huge turn off for a lot of people

I agree , especially for builders , roofers , landscape gardeners etc , PIKEY ALERT !!!!!

I do see your point now....I missed it off as I know no one would get me on it, maybe a divert to my mobile would be good.....hmmm back to the drawing board!
