Stick an answer phone on your landline one that you can dial into and check for messages and return them as quickly as possible, not idea but may be worth a try to keep your landline number on the card.
I don't agree. Photographers are likely to be out and about a hell of a lot so at least with a mobile people know they're going to be able to get hold of you. It's pretty old fashioned to say you shouldn't use a mobile number considering people tend to use them more than landlines these days.
I don't know that only having a mobile number is a turn off but having a landline maybe suggests to prospective clients that you have an office, studio or some kind of premises and as such you will come across as more professional.
From my point of view.. if you can't afford good cards, then wait until you can. Handing out crappy quality cards will only hurt your business.
I don't like photos on cards, I think it looks very '90s plus I think you stand more chance of someone not liking a little thumbnail printed on a card, than you do of someone being blown away by it and booking you as a result.
A (video) film strip for a (presumably) digital photographer? A bit cheesy to me.
Break up your mobile number so it's easier to read. But I don't have a problem with just mobile, like you, I just have a landline for the internet so it's never turned on. Even if it was I'm rarely at home. I would say the majority of people down here solely use mobiles now.
Depends what photography you do, but I can't see many people being turned off by you working from home. If I'm going out to shoot an event, they're probably just glad they don't have to pay for a studio I'm not using anyway.
