I agree with Whitey.
They don't know what camera is best for you.
There are many sDLR's on the market, all different for lot's of reasons.
Work out what you want to do with it, how much you want to spend etc.
Spend allot of time here asking questions, reading posts etc.
There's a very good chance that rushing out and buying any old camera will backfire.
Later down the line, you might find that it wasn't right for you after all.
Although having said that, there's not too much wrong with a D90.
(Except that it's a Nikon

)
There's MANY many options that you should consider before spending any money on any camera gear.
And if you ask me, learn the basics from the net and forums (just like this one!!!) and then teach yourself.
And the most important thing ever, GET OUT AND TAKE LOT'S OF PHOTO'S!!!!
