Just joined and thought I should start here
I am hobby photographer from the States. I am currently a full time paramedic.
My husband and I also used to teach SCUBA for a local dive shop (thats where we met) and we really liked taking underwater shots. We used to use a 35mm slide film camera, but have recently upgraded to a very modest digital setup.
I am currently doing none of the above. Stuck at home on bedrest, awaiting the arrival of our 3rd child, and filling my time with all kinds of photography books, webinars, forums and such.
I never really wanted to be a professional photographer, but I do enjoy working with them. I volunteer as a Digital Retouch Artist for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, infant bereavement photographers. I have retouched hundreds of babies for grieving families and I have seen work from every kind of photographer.
Since I already know how to change the pixels on my screen, I thought, with all this time off, I should learn how they change those pixels before they get to my screen
