Hedgehogs as Britain's national Symbol

Tend to agree, once you've ruled out the stuff we hunt, kill or cull there's only the hedehog left. (Talking mammals here obviously.)
We only kill the hedgehog accidentally, we hope.
Can't remember the last time I saw a hedgehog, a good few years ago...

Should be something easily recognisable as typically British, how about a little fat baldy with a Beer belly :) Now that sums me up perfectly :D

Think the Nepalese have got that one sewn up...

I can't believe its not buddha.

What about sheep, they seem to have a lot in common with the British public (or is it the other way round). ;)

Never got that close to a living sheep. Think I better change the subject, got Lamb chops tonight, with Carrot and Turnip yum :D

Are hedgehogs hibernating at the moment? Wonder what the chances are, of finding a hedgehog in the garden? Wonder what Hedgehog with mint sauce would be like?

Mine aren't hibernating yet....but you're not having them!!!

Hedgehog chops? A bit small! Traditionally baked in clay ISTR.

Covered in clay and dropped into a fire pit, so I suspect that BBQ sauce would be better ...
Oh and BTW they taste like Chicken, with a hint of Rabbit.

Whats the difference between a hedgehog and the house of commons?

Probably try the hedgehog pasties then, it's OK they are not made of hedgehog only hedgehog shaped. They are not flattened, just a pattern on the back to mimic the spines :)

Yes I think the nation was England tho rather than Britain. England have the robin, Sweaties have the Golden Eagle I believe, not sure about the taffs and micks.

Fox is a fairly common animal for the choice. Although in a vote I suspect hedgey would win.
Was going to be clever, and to suggest an inanimate object, such as Modem. To signify the inventor of the internet Tim Berners Lee. English rather than British though ?

IIRC I think you made the right decision :hungover:

I am a right boring git, my favourite crisps has been Cheese and onion for over 40 years. My most adventurous was probably pickled onions, took the skin of the inside of my lips off

Bald hedgehog, could also double as a haggis for Scotland :)

Only if you leave the roadkill hedgehog to mature for a few days...

Matured for a few days, some person tried a 180 day matured Steak. Yuk eating a decomposed Steak :puke:
