Heat.

Broken cloud, quite a nice day at the moment. very little wind and 6 degrees.

3°C and clear at 06:30 this morning and not much warmer at 09:00, although it had clouded over by then, Started drizzling at about 10:30 and now persisting down!

It was predicted to hit the SW earlier today, and here a couple of hours later.

Is it nearly there yet?
Is it nearly there yet?

Not yet but its only "just down the road" It's probably lost at one of the roundabouts :D

It's still bloody here too!

It turned into a showery day here, although no wind to speak off, which is good. 6 degrees all day, dull and grey.

The rain arrived about an hour or so, ago.
Its lashing down here.

Rain arrived at about 14-00 and it has been raining steadily since, the predicted high winds have not arrived yet.

We weren't suppose to get any of that rain but it's been raining since 8.45pm and looking at the radar I see there's an arc of rain from the English Channel just west of the Isle of Wight across to the Wash and out over the North Sea where the front of it is where the very heavy rain is..red and green colours. To be fair they weren't sure how far north it would reach. It was supposed to run through the English Channel so just affecting along the south coast and the northern coast of France . Anyway, that will be the last of rain for a while, colder but at least no rain. There's a lot of flooding in the West Country and also here because we have the Severn (rain flows into it out of the Welsh hills) and the Avon meeting at Tewkesbury which,in 2007 became an island.

We've had rain pretty much all afternoon & evening but fingers crossed the near future is looking better (drier!!) :)

We usually get it after you as it moves up the Bristol Channel but we didn't get any this afternoon but the skies darkened and cars had headlights on.

It wasn't supposed to rain here either, but as above it started around 6pm, and is still raining steadily.

It's been raining steadily all night here but only drizzling at the moment, 7-C with a strong wind and just thoroughly miserable.

Rain is mad at the moment, first time, that I'm aware, they had to close the bypass this morning due to flooding.
A few years back (before retirement) I used to travel that daily for for about 6 years, and previous to that, I worked at Stewartby pit, doing bird control, so I saw it being built.
I don't remember it ever being shut due to rain either.

Lovely down here today! So sunny that we took the little blue car out for a run with its top down. Wrapped up good and warm though...

High pressure is building up from the East giving at least dry weather for a week but colder. Must bring the plants in off the patio. News reports from around the country re flooding are dire. I've never experienced a flooded home but TV footage of those who have looks awful. I feel for them. I'd imagine the smell woud last a good while even after carpets had been replaced. I'm sure wise homebuyers will take in to account any nearby rivers, streams or hills. Beyond that there's not much more they can do other than ensure they aren't buying on a floodplain which builders seem to get away with building on. They are usually adjacent to a river but I assume the river doesn't have to be running along the backs of gardens and could be a couple of miles away out of sight out of mind.

The last photos in this local article were taken in Longlevens which is on the outskirts of Gloucester . I was thinking of going down there to get a few shots. It was like this a few years ago and I did go to get some shots but the worst had passed. It's an A road from Gloucester to Tewkesbury. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co....res-flooding-hits-gloucestershire-key-9015853

It's a cold one, I'm just back from an owl recce and my feet are still numb. It's lovely though, a calm, clear, dry night with a hint of mist. Just walked the dog around the village, a joy to be out.

Currently 2 degrees but there's a frost on one of our cars. It's been parked up since before Christmas, must take it a run tomorrow.

4o here, cloudy and rain forecast for the early hours FFS! :(
Must bring the plants in off the patio.
I moved the Bonsai's to an elevated & sheltered position, before the 1st frosts a couple or so weeks ago, generally they are good down to -10.
But being in shallow pots, and with all the recent rain, there is a danger the roots will freeze.

5-C here at 05-30 and up to 6-C now. Light breeze at the moment and quite a pleasant day. I'll give it another hour or so and then venture up from the seafront for some breakfast at my favourite fast food joint and then drift about doing a bit more snapping.

Hope the weather holds for you, have a good weekend (y)

Its grey, its damp its miserable, and it was raining lightly late last night, before I turned in.
Its currently 4oC supposed to be getting as high as 6oC later.

Beautiful day, no wind, dry and bright, wall to wall sunshine at the moment. Chilly though, everything is white with frost, 0 degrees.

Glorious sunshine ATM! Chiffing chully though!!!

Just remembered to fit the frost guard on the outside tap and drain the hose (NOT a euphemism!!!)

Finally the sky has cleared!

Stopped raining but still dark .
No rain today, but its clouded over.
Its strange how the weather can be so different over short distances

It's been a beauty today. Getting dark now though but it's been sunny and dry all day, with next to no wind. It's hardly got above freezing though, the highest I saw was 2 degrees. My pond is frozen solid.
