Dryish today, about 10 degrees again. There was broken cloud this morning, but it's just a bit grey now.
It was fairly windy here yesterday with 30-40mph gusts which was enough to bring down branches of the crack willow trees (30m tall) and I wondered if it's like this here what it was like for you because the storm, a named storm ..Pia..by the Danish Met Office, tracked across the top of Scotland and made its way to Norway where they had gusts of 90mph. These crack willows opposite live up to that name and when hit by strong winds some quite large branches break off. The trees are alongside the brook, opposite, and the 15m-wide grass verge infront of them is used by dog-walkers so I dragged the branches out of the way as they completely blocked the verge and one couople with their dog had to walk around them into the road. It's certainly picking up here, gusting to about 50mph and looks like it could get higher before it calms down. Our reindeer out front is on its side, it's either blown over or been on the egg nog.
Blustery rain, coming down in sheets. 7 degrees though.

I was late night shopping, last night, just before midnight, and the car said 10oC
and drizzling in the wind.
Currently it's 12oC and 25 mph winds, apparently gusting to 45 mph.
Again, its "damp in the wind"
Yep crazy weather Eh?Drove through MK this morning to see my brother and his wife near Bedford. It was just too mild for Christmas.
I've just had a message from my cousin in Oz. ( gold coast)
It seems they are being battered by storms in some areas, hail the size of grapefruit, and floods.
20oC night temps an 35oC day time.
I think I'll stick to what we have here![]()
Generally they are fine apart from the flooding.Yes, I saw a report about that on TV lat night. Western Australia..Perth and Eastern Australia. They're really bad. If I were a young man with family I'd think twice about emmigrating there
What did I say would happen to those making political / hot statements once I closed HT?because the country is amongst thoose on the front line of Climate Change disasters.

I spent some time earlier today, as I do, responding to munch, only to find you'd closed up shop, brought down the drawbridge,,locked the cellar......I had to laugh.
As it generate more reports than any other forum, its good to give the staff a breakTbh it will be good to have a break
My bold..
And so did I at your "confession"

It's 10 oC currently, and according to the weather map it's set to rise by 2oc over the next couple of hours. Now that is weird!!We were out walking this morning. I started in a T, zippy fleece & showerproof, but could have been happy in the T after a few minutes. Crazy.

Oh, and it's still hissing down.
