Has the jubilee made you feel more patriotic?

I didn't say that.

I didn't say that.

no, you said
Money is debt. If people did not borrow every single economy would collapse.
and im saying that economies are going to collapse because people borrowed too much..

CHANGES.

Looking at the images in the papers it seems that the UK has turned red, white and blue, and that the nation has united to celebrate this milestone.

If you were a royalist, has it strengthened your belief in the monarchy?

If you were a republican, has your view changed at all?

If you were apathetic, has your view become more pro-monarchy, pro-republic, or you're still not interested?

Lastly, a bit of a quiz question (not too hard I'm sure) about the union flag.... As you know, it's consists of the cross of St Andrew, the cross of St Patrick and the cross of St George and nothing else. Where else in the world, would you see a flag that consists only of the cross of St Andrew, the cross of St Patrick and the cross of St George and nothing else?

if anything it has made me dislike the royal family even more than I already did whilst they laugh in my face with the largest diamond ever found in history as well as owning leonardo da vincis greatest inventions which are by the way not availiable to the public, but what have they got to hide?

I get the impression the queen is quite embarrassed about her position in this world. She certainly approaches it like a duty rather than a right.

Evidenced by her and Phillip's refusal to sit in the throne during the boat trip.

The rest of the family are guilty of what you say though, for sure.

Hardly the Queens fault!! Someone has to own it and if it came up for sale no doubt it would end up with some billionaire!

I dont get the whole anger about the queen costing us money. Firstly she helps bring money in, secondly its a small amount. When you consider we give out millions in foreign aid to countries like India (with a space program and an aircraft carrier) and give out millions in handouts to people just for turning up in this country - that is a bigger waste imo.

Surely approaching it as her duty as opposed to her right is a good thing, no?

For sure. Don't particularly have anything against her as a person, I think the way she's approached her role is admirable.

However, that doesn't mean I can't despise everything she represents.

Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion but it does seem she can do no right in some people's eyes - if she'd sat down for the duration you can bet your arse people would've whinged about that too.

She represents you also, in a way, do you despise yourself too?

I think you're probably right. I felt sorry for her on the day. What is really amounted to was two extremely elderly people standing stoically in the freezing rain for 5 hours.

Not a royalist at all, but this is my view,,,, keep the Queen at Pip, side line Charlie and HER!!!!!!, make William and Kate next in line, I think everyone loves Harry and Princess Ann, get the rest jobs, (Nissan are setting on in Sunderland) specialy Air miles Andrew and is off springs. just my opinion

As a republican I'd love it if they skipped a generation and went for Willie. It would remove the principle of direct succession, thereby destroying one of the major tenets of a monarchy.

According to something on tv I think was on Saturday , they didn't sit on those thrones because they were soaked through.

my sister and her hubby are brunettes, both their kids have carrot-red hair. Their grandfather does too. Harry gets his red hair from Diana's brother Charles. Harry is the image of his dad (especially their eyes) and also the Queen. There's a pic of him and the queen on the boat and they are wearing identical expressions.

but folk prefer conspiracy theories eh?

From what I remember ginger is a recessive gene so both parents would have to carry the ginger gene and then it would only create red haired children 1 in 4 times.

Although saying that I think my dad's father was ginger and at least two of his other siblings were ginger which suggests you can have a run of them :)
