Probably not exactly what you mean but this is the best lens i've ever used.
This page is about Sigma's 40mm F1.4 DG HSM.

You can get this same exact glass, as well as other ART models in CINE housing. Better build quality, pull focus gearing, same IQ, much steeper price, and zero autofocus. And likewise it retains focus breathing,
Many competitors at similar price range will have similar offerings that may have counterparts in stills section.
You have to look all the way to Canon 15-120 t2.9-3.9 to find something unique and significantly better than stills glass. That costs an absolute bomb but if you are driving brand new Tesla S or equivalent it should be irrelevant.
I notice they are getting "cheap" now, 7artisan for example do a 35mm or 50mm on APS-C with T/1.05. You can import one for less than £400 even after fees. I know they are manual as per cine lenses but seems interesting and fun for some crazy bokeh and low light shooting?
I would be asking yourself if these mass produced gen1 or gen2 chinese lenses will retain their value in the near future. They could easily, and likely will release II, then III, then IV versions with major upgrades and perhaps only a minor price increase. Are they close to *perfection* already? Or do you simpkly need something affordable to complete a project now? If you can answer yes to either then go and get some.
Having said that a lot of the mirrorless glass like some pretty expensive Canon RF lenses, etc are shrouded in cheap flimsy plastic and don't offer ANY direct manual control at all. I find it hard to justify spending £2-3k a piece even on near perfect models like 50/1.2 or 85/1.2. Canon will be eager to burry them dead or alive as soon as mkII hit the stores and the 7 year service phase out countdown begins.
