I'm getting married again!

Well, technically not, we're having our marriage blessed and til today I thought we just wanted it just us, but the more I think about it the more I want the whole shebang and DH is happy to do whatever, so we're going to have a small evening ceromony and I'm soooo excited...oh and it's in 5 weeks  (yeh...I don't do waiting...)

4 years.

When we got married, we compromised on everything, because I was very poorly and so was my brother, we didn't even have a wedding reception, I was doped up to the hilts on morphine and although I wouldn't do things differently in the same situation, we now have the opertunity to do the whole Church thing like we wanted with a little reception, not the register office. (ie, I got to marry my husband and i wouldn't change that, but now we want to do the Churchy stuff and do things how we planned them originally)

 Hope you have a lovely day. Got a photographer yet? :D

this is wonderful news hun i wish you both the very best you deserve to be very happy and i am sure you will be, i have been married 21 yrs in december this yr please post some pics. shell

Oh wow. Sounds like you're going to have a blast. I bet you invite list has changed a little in 4 years. Don't forget to take time out to chill though. It's a very important part of being a 'bride to be'.

I hope your dress still fits! Every Wedding Anniversary, mine comes out of the cupboard for a shake out and gets put on. It doesn't fit now because I've lost nearly 2 stone, but it still makes me feel as good as I did on our Wedding Day.

Enjoy being a princess for the day with a permanent grin on your face.

Thanks.

Well, the dress is a funny un... I got married in pink. I didn't want a white dress if I couldn't have the whole shebang. So, I've got 2 cream dresses - we were going to go out for dinner with family and friends, but one is pretty much what I was looking for, for the wedding originally (I can't wear big floaty things cause of the wheelchair) so now I have a ceromony dress and a reception dress LOL

excellent, well done.......

but the more I think about it the more I want the whole shebang

are you refering to the whole of Talk Photography :D:D:D

Well...i could be wedding photography practice for you all, ROFL, just organise a TP meet at the Church ROFL hahaha

Mmmmm 2 pairs of shoes...now I hadn't thought about that! hehe
I do have the shoes admittedly, but I have spent all afternoon looking at dresses....something tells me my dress shopping isn't quite finished! LOL

Good On You Nattelie

Good Luck for your BIG DAY :)

Sounds like a good excuse to start a thread asking for a free/cheap one... :coat:

Have a great time. I think it's just an excuse to remind the old man who you are, but hey, ignore me. I'm cynical at the best of times  ;)

PS: Did Carolf says she lost or gained 2 stone... :exit:

thanks everyone.

Well hepburn, funny you should say that LOL.... (seriously, I've asked someone, waiting for them to get back to me. I did find someone else whose work I also loved but his wife is expecting around that time so he couldn't commit)

Not a total bridezilla yet Carol, LOL. Though I do admit, I've pretty much organised everything in a week... makes me wonder how it takes some B&Gs a year or so to plan a wedding. The priest came around today too and we did all the paperwork - honestly there was reels of it, cause we're already married and got married outside of The Church. Though the priest got a bit confussed that it wasn't on a weekend, lol (even our original wedding plans, it was never on a weekend, dunno why, just never was....maybe cause all the important stuff usually happens on weekdays so it seemed a bit weird? ROFL)

I'm taking the bridesmaids (little ones) for their dresses tomorrow. I'm really excited!

Hubby is taking the attitude of "remind me when it's the rehersal and remind me on the day, and I'll be there, just get on with it" which works for us TBH, cause I get what I want without all the kicking and screaming of a bridezilla! hehe

I got the little ones dresses today. They look so sweet! I changed my mind on which dresses to get them though, they should go fine with the ones that the older ones are wearing cause there's little flowers in the same colours. My dress came today and I'm over the moon with it. It's beautiful. Only really have to sort a couple of things out now. :D

How exciting for you :) Having got married this year, I can imagine how excited you are feeling. Hope it all goes well.

Thanks

I got the bridesmaids dresses for the older ones today and flowers, but think I need to go and get some more flowers TBH.

I've done 3 of the 6 baskets for the little ones though, still have to do the posies and my boquet, but plenty of time, I think... LOL

another update, my dress is here (I changed it, LOL, sent the other one back!) and my friend is coming over to try hers and help me try mine on (then we'll eat pizza hehe) so incerdibly excited!

I'm not having much luck finding a hairdresser though! But nevermind, it'll get sorted!

Awww I can picture it now...

A small quiet little church somewhere,

you and hubby,

a pageboy,

a coupla bridesmaids,

a few dozen assorted guests,

and several hundred TP forum members with itchy shutter fingers.

hehe

Ah plenty to update...

Hairdresser is sorted - trial on Thursday afternoon

went to thorntons and throughly enjoyed eating thorntons chocs for free, deciding on which chocs to have in our favours

met the togger (who is from TP BTW, not sure if he would mind me saying who he is on here though - but if you don't mind, feel free to say! LOL - also an added benefit that he may post some of the pics up for you guys to see which would be pretty cool)

We have to do a marriage prepairation thing at Church, but kinda just did most of it on the phone LOL so someone is gonna pop around next week

10 bridesmaids are sorted (yep, 10 of em!) order of services almost sorted, cake sorted, restaurant pretty much sorted...

shoes...disaster!! I ordered them, they came, they fit. My feet aren't as swollen now (stupid body) and now they're too big!!! eek! So had to buy some more.

Dress is beautiful, tried it on but need to try it again with underskirt.

Just need to finalise who is reading what, then we're all done!

:o just read the thread and I didn't explain about the dress, LOL

I changed my mind twice now about the dress, now I am wearing a big floaty princess dress. Decided that I'm not using the wheelchair during the ceromony and if I fall flat on my face, well so be it  I've been back on crutches for almost 3 weeks now (just a little bit though).

I ordered one princessy dress and well, it was ok, but it just wasn't "the dress" then I got myself all into a tizz and told OH to choose one for me LOL bless him. So he did (online). He's wonderful bless him. Now he's seen pictures of a skinny mini model wearing a similar one in different colours, but not the dress itself. I liked the pictures but it wasn't til I saw it and felt it that I fell in love totally with it.

So, that's the story of the dress. Still wearing the cream sparkly one to the restaurant though ;)

3 days to go and all is sorted - almost!

We had our rehersal last night and it was a bit manic! It's certainly going to be an entertaining wedding!

Didn't find out til last night that someone who should be there isn't going cause he simply can't be bothered - don't worry, it wasn't DH, best man or Dad! LOL but he could have told us before we'd paid for dinner for him.... oh and Sister in law has only gone and bought a dress the same colour as the bridesmaids! How rude!

The flowers are all finally sorted (will update with pics tonight or tomorrow hopefully) and I think everything is going to run as smoothly as a wedding can run

Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic day!!

Congratulations and here's hoping you have no last minute change of mind about the dress... again ;):p

:woot: 3 days?
Are you counting today? Just wondering whether it's Monday or Tuesday.

I hope you have a great day and I expect to see LOTS of photos :)
(I don't often browse the people & portraits section so if your unnamed TP tog posts them, you'll have to put a link to them here)

Very brave decision to go with the crutches for the ceremony, but good for you. It sounds like you didn't get to do the whole walk down the aisle thing first time round, so this time it'll be really special. And you sound stubborn enough to make that work no matter what

You've done all the planning that you can, so the important thing now is to sit back, relax and enjoy it.
