It's not that hard if you break the first clue down, it contains references to two films that one of each of the main actors were previously in, plus references the lyrics to the theme song of a (very) popular US-crime show that one starred in for many years.....

The clue, broken down

The Mexican
awoke one day and procured a firearm
it didn't make him a hero though,
although he met someone else who almost was,but that was over here, not in America

If I say it was before noon when The Mexican awoke, does that help?

A stab in the dark..

The Mexican? As this was about a gun.. Although I don't remember it being British..

Could it partly be an induction system? Eh, what did you say?

The Mexican - a film starring James Gandolfini
awoke one day and procured a firearm - "woke up this morning, got yourself a gun" - lyrics of The Sopranos, starring James Gandolfini, theme tune

it didn't make him a hero though, although he met someone else who almost was Peter Capaldi, who was in Local Hero

So now we have the two stars.....

Could it partly be an induction system? Eh, what did you say?

A loop induction system (used in banks etc to work with hearing aids)

Movie = In The Loop

See...easy :naughty:

Ok, let's try something a bit easier.......

Is it a really old Ford? The theory is it was actually more to do with his watch, it's a killer story anyway

Got the right initial movie just wrong actor from it!

What do we do now?! Flash in the pan I believe you must torture us once more

Thunderbirds?

Right erm scrap other 2 incorrect answers.

I'm going to say...."monster" (ford mustang in this film?!)

The Well known Ford Mother Hubbard coupe?

No a family friendly expletive. I'm guessing the old ford isn't a mustang or a thunderbird, though they are both watches

Argh the bit im crap at the clue provision....

"You wouldn't wanna find this in a china shop"

I think I know the answer, but I'm so rubbish at the following clue......

Braveheart?

Imaginarium of dr panarssus?
Heath ledger, Ewan mcgregor, Colin farrell all played same character?
