What's it like ? We have the 47'' LG LCD (had it 8 years) and were thinking of upgrading to the LG 55" C1. That's this year's model, It's been down from £1750 to £1250 and last time I looked a couple of weeks ago was currently selling for £1350 again but will almost certainly come down to probably £1150 soon after the Christmas purchases.
I want to buy it from Richer Sounds after being turned down by Curries on a price-match item for £600 last February. They 'agreed' to the price match ..£580..then said I'd have to pay £35 delivery because it wasn't in -store at Gloucester so they lost the sale of that..it was a Neff extractor unit for over the hob/oven. They've not only lost that sale but the 55" Oled. Also, Julian Richer treats his staff well and that sort of thing matters to me. It's also supporting the High Street retailer.
'Ethical capitalist' Julian Richer - the sounder of Richer Sounds - set up his first store at just 19 and earned millions of pounds from his hi-fi empire before having a change of heart and redistributing it to his employees

I've just checked and I see they're already down to £1149 at Amazon so that's good. The next model is due out in May so the price will come down further as that date nears but my wife probably won't want to wait until about March. We need the latest technology to be able to get the likes of BT Sport..football for me and Netflix etc for her. The the 47" is excellent but Which ? and other reviewers highly-rate this 55" and LG in general. LG are consistently top of Which ? recommendations. The Miele and Bosch of the TV world
