Problems with Currys/PC world 7 day repair or replacement. Has anyone else had problems with this. We originally bought from the above in March last year, complete with a 3 year insurance cover, repair or replace 7 days. This machine broke down on us and after 5 "weeks" we managed to get it replaced. Now the replacement has broken down and Currys/PC world have said it is non repairable, this was 6/12/21, so we are still waiting for a money return voucher to go and get a new one. We would go elsewhere to get another one but have £179 tied up with the broken down one.
Has anyone else had this problem with Currys/PC world.

There was another recent thread about an issue with an HP model from Currys....

We bought a 65" LG Oled TV with a 3 year guarantee from Currys/ PC world. It developed a fault 5 weeks before the guarantee ran out. LG said it wasn't financially viable to repair it so Currys gave us a brand new equivalent TV that's even better than the original. Excellent service.

What's it like ? We have the 47'' LG LCD (had it 8 years) and were thinking of upgrading to the LG 55" C1. That's this year's model, It's been down from £1750 to £1250 and last time I looked a couple of weeks ago was currently selling for £1350 again but will almost certainly come down to probably £1150 soon after the Christmas purchases.

I want to buy it from Richer Sounds after being turned down by Curries on a price-match item for £600 last February. They 'agreed' to the price match ..£580..then said I'd have to pay £35 delivery because it wasn't in -store at Gloucester so they lost the sale of that..it was a Neff extractor unit for over the hob/oven. They've not only lost that sale but the 55" Oled. Also, Julian Richer treats his staff well and that sort of thing matters to me. It's also supporting the High Street retailer.

Price history. The lowest price is usually from an unreliable online-only retailer. https://pricespy.co.uk/audio-video/tvs/lg-oled55c1--p5732268/statistics

I've just checked and I see they're already down to £1149 at Amazon so that's good. The next model is due out in May so the price will come down further as that date nears but my wife probably won't want to wait until about March. We need the latest technology to be able to get the likes of BT Sport..football for me and Netflix etc for her. The the 47" is excellent but Which ? and other reviewers highly-rate this 55" and LG in general. LG are consistently top of Which ? recommendations. The Miele and Bosch of the TV world :)

Can I ask, but what is this to do with a guarantee on a product ?.

Several years ago I had a Windows 98 powered PC for gaming, it eventually gave up the Ghost, took it to PC World, a month later it came back fully working, would've got it back quicker but PCW admitted they'd gotten into playing the assortment of games that were installed on the hard drive! Que?! Surely that would be highly illegal under data protection laws?!

Got in touch with Resolver at the week end, and wow problem now resolved plus a gift.
