Hi all, Im new here and currently working out in Thailand (have been since March 09) and intend to move onto North West Australia to continue my work.
Been reading a lot of topics on this forum and others as well as doing a lot of research before splashing the cash on a new camera.
So yesterday after all my research I took the plunge on a brand new Nikon D90. Not had much time to take many pictures but planning a walkabout this sunday around town.
I was previously using a Canon Powershot A640 but jumped ship to Nikon as the D90 was good value for money (in Thailand) compared to similar Canon DLSR's, especially with the 18-105 kit lens
The old man was a semi-pro photogapher specialising in aircraft and made some stunning shots so Im hoping to be a fraction as good as he is.
Im waiting for some photography books to arrive from Amazon whilst also trying to understand some Photoshop basics.
Im mainly interested in wildlife and landscapes, but have an interest in macro photography too. Really looking forward to getting out there and taking pictures.
Sorry for the long-winded welcome, looking forward to posting my own photos as well as interacting more on the forums
