We are planning a city break to Paris (we being me and my wife, plus 14 year old daughter) in the next few weeks.
It's been many years since I last went so can anyone suggest a friendly place to stay - requirements are cheap, quiet, comfy beds and close to a metro station.
Another priority is at least one proper eatery within a few minutes walk - the sort of place that is full of locals, that cooks food I've never heard of and smells wonderful, and run by friendly people who can cope with our lack of French..
Many thanks for any suggestions - even if you can't help with both, knowing a few good places to eat, districts to stay etc would all be appreciated !
