Well I do try to do my domestic goddess bit at least once a year.
It's become a bit of a tradition for me to have one full day of baking just before Christmas - then I take all the goodies round to friends and family with their Christmas gifts.
There's something really therapeutic about starting with a pile of raw ingredients and producing something yummy at the end of it . . . and it tastes so much better too (especially when it's all just come out of the oven and is still piping hot)
This year I've made :
cakes (with 3 x different fillings)
sausage Rolls
mini pasties (2 x different types)
scotch eggs
fruit loaf
cheese & onion bread
And I'll be making on some homemade chestnut stuffing for the turkey later this afternoon.
Thought I'd share a couple of pics from this year's effort :
