How easy is it to run this machine below on uk electricity.. Is it just a case of German 2 UK plug adapter...?

Yup, all the same voltage and frequency.

Just need the plug like you say.

If you are using it here permantly then all you need is to cut the plug off and wire on a uk one.
Or if it uses a kettle lead or figure of 8 lead you could buy a new lead for less than an adaptor

Not sure on wire colours, but you can buy a seim-permanant adapter that clips over the German plug. When my unit returned from Germany in 2000 they bought a lot of them because they're easier than rewiring, and they're still fitted and working now.

Cutting off the plug sounds good idea.. I presume there colour wires are different to ours?

Shouldnt be - theres a reason for unified colours.

Don't be too sure mate, it's a British standard, not an international one I think, BS7671:2001 to be precise.

Thats the whole UK wiring regs.

Cable colours are an international standard IEC60446. Thats been used in appliances for years even in the UK. The ammendemtn to BS7671 in 2004 changed the colours in fixed wiring to bring them into line with the international standard.

use a meter to test which is which, the earth should conduct to the neutral earth should be top pin n green n yellow in english,
live and neutral have just changed colour

I'll just shut up then :D

Thats the great thing about standards. There are so many to choose from :)

Look hard enough and you'll always find one that says what you want.

lol, I don't know much about them, or electrical installs TBH. All I know is that if you end up smoking with a funkly hair-do, chances are you ****ed something up lol.
