Maybe, I imagine we've shared a lot about equipment way below this level in the past and I don't imagine this forum is just used by pros or otherwise long time aficionados. But yes, seems most X-A users are elsewhere or can't be bothered to dredge through the complete off topic nature of most of the replies![]()
My gripe is that I do not care to use viewfinder-less hand held cameras. (though that is rarely a problem in large format which are certainly not "Entry Level".
Though my favourite camera is what most people would consider "entry" level. namely the Fuji X30. It is in my opinion, perhaps the best all round camera of its type. Though I would agree that my XE2 with 18-55 lens is capable of noticeably higher quality results. However it is not as nice to use, nor does it produce "Better" pictures.
The Past can be a very long time ago. In my case, I bought my first camera over 73 years ago, but even that was one step up from a box camera and had adjustable aperture and shutter speeds. and it lead to a lifetime of professional photography. You may ask why I would favour an entry level camera now, in the Fuji X30. For me the answer is that it produces the results that I am looking for in the way that I like.
It has an excellent view finder, a tilting screen, an excellent zoom and aperture range and produces images, that, when viewed on screen or at normal print sizes, are as "Good" as can be produced by far more "Professional" equipment.
The XA5 would seem to have none of the advantages that I look for in a basic camera, even though it has a larger sensor and interchangeable lenses.
