Fuji x100

Very jealous CeeJay. Do love them in all black.

I'm still personally on the edge of ordering one, been on and off about them since launch. They're starting to verge on the affordable (for me) now.

especially when interest free over 10 months. That is what swung it for me and the only thing I am sorry about is that I didn't get one as soon as they went down in price.

I've just joined the X100 club too and really glad I did. I waited to see if there was a successor coming at Photokina, but I can't run to the new interchangeable lens version. Anyway, I'm actually enjoying the simplicity of the fixed lens and the camera is the nicest in use that I've come across in a long time.

I'm looking for a software shutter release. I've seen plenty from the States are there any from the UK that you would recommend?

Agreed. Mine lasted half a shoot. I don't miss it enough to bother getting another.

Same here, I had one of those "bug" ones didn't last long !
Replaced with a Leica one on the M4, still there after three months. Bought a few off EBay red and gold ones only £1.99 +p/p not to bad if I lose those. Have found them really useful for me but may not suit everybody.

Stick a tiny rubber 'O' ring or two on the thread spindle, about 20 pennies from a hardware shop.

WoOt. Been up since 5 playing with my new (refurb) black X100. Great deal, £640 next day delivery using code p10feb15.

I've now got x10 and x100. No plans for XPro though. Stick with DSLR for interchangeable.

Wanted X100 since launch. Only just got the funds together.

How many camera's do you need?

PS: Does Val know? :p

Congrats Trevor, you'll love it! I'm looking forward to what you're going to produce with it... :)

Thanks Dave, love it already.

Way too many (impossible)

No, thats why I got a Black one, looks a bit like an X10:cool:

Haha, I like it. Very cunning :-) I daren't tell my wife how much an X100 is. I like her thinking it can't cost too much because it looks old fashioned. :-)

And its only got a single non zoom 23mm lens...not even as sophisticated as a Polaroid camera in that respect.....

I'm getting away with it so far...

I've just been given an X100 for the week to have a play with... and I'm quite excited!

I must admit I'm a DSLR man, but ever since I read about the X10 and X100 I have been very keen to have a go :)

Look forward to reading your impressions and seeing some epics

Can I ask if anyone managed to get a case for a decent price, please?
I'm looking for something similar to those:

THANKS!

Cycled to work yesterday morning and had the X100 with me. Thought I'd capture a couple of shots during sunrise as I seem to have taken very few photos for fun lately. I really love this camera!

Had my X100 for a few weeks now and still loving it, even sold a few prints that I have taken with it at a local framers.

Took this out walking the dog today, it was rainy and the light was rubbish:

Still using it today, even holding Xpro-1, likes the way it functions and macro mode is superb

Which shows how good the camera is...in any light you will get something decent. I used to find with my X10 that if it was overcast the camera seemed to actually perform better. As though it relished teh challenege. Minor thing...its a shame you lost the top of the cow's shoulders but I know what taking pictures of animals is like....take what you can, when you can

Lovely shot anyway as are the rest

Hi this may seem like a strange question but is anyone shooting video on the x100?
I ask as its film like effects may be useful for a certain ''look''
Any youtube links would be cool.

Thanks, it was quite tricky to get the photo, getting close to the beast without scaring him off and he was moving towards me all the time. I was lying down on wet grass! I debated whether or not to keep this because of the framing but like you say, get what you can with some animals lol

Well I bit the bullet... Camera body is sold, and half my lens' are gone... and my X10 has just been ordered. Will be nice having a smaller kit.

Don't know if anyone else has noticed but if you look through the finder and adjust the shutter speed it goes red if it can't manage it. I found it helpful today

Just received my X100, so I thought I would contribute, shot in raw, exported to jpg via Lightroom.
