I'm very close to pulling the trigger on an XE-2 and taking advantage of the current promotion to also get the 35mm f1.4 lens. Where I'm hesitating I guess is with the rangefinder style. Have any of you had difficulties adjusting to this layout coming from traditional DSLR styled cameras? Do you feel you are giving anything up in usability between the XE-2 and X-T1, and is it worth investing in one of the handgrips?
Any views most appreciated.
Cheers,
Simon.
Thought of another question!
How is the viewfinder in bright sunlight? Reason for asking is that there doesn't seem to be too much of an eye cup, and I wondered if stray light was a problem in line with some users experiences with the GX7?
Cheers,
Simon.
No none at all the switch over for me when well![]()
Again none here![]()
No probs with the switch over. Much prefer the fuji layout as wellI'm very close to pulling the trigger on an XE-2 and taking advantage of the current promotion to also get the 35mm f1.4 lens. I've had the 18 and the 35. Would go for the 35 every timeThanks.
If I go with the X-E2 I'll have a choice between the 18, 27 and 35mm lenses. Any thoughts on their respective performance?
Cheers,
Simon.

One more quick question. Is the 18mm a bit noisy (crunch/grating noise) when focusing?
Ta. I've got used to it now!Mine was really hard to move and made the grating noise. Sent it back to Fuji and they musnt have been able to fix it as they sent me a new one thats perfect.

St Peter's Parish Church III by kennysarmy, on FlickrJust a quick question regarding the X-E1 and ISO noise. I rarely go above 1600 as I hate noisy images, how well does it handle it? The WEX offer with the X-E1 and 27mm f2.8 is becoming increasingly tempting.![]()
Looking to use my Nikkor lenses (AI and AFD) with the X-E1, what brand of adaptors have you tried that works flawlessly with the camera? Thanks!![]()
Cheers peeps. I will have a look at your shots when I'm on the computer.
The shots from my D7000 at 1600 aren't impressive.

I think the fuji noise is quite nice, very film like.I dont find any problem at 1600 ISO,but again its down to how you see noise some people see it worst than others![]()

Thanks.... It was nothing lolHi Jeff, that is super impressive noise levels!!!
I carry the x-e1 around with my nearly all the time... So light. But I just can't part with my 5dmkii and serious kit... Took me five or so years of buying and upgrading to get it and a good selection of lenses. If I go out alone to take photos I take the canon. But if out and about generally I now just grab the Fuji....Indeed. Is this your only camera? Just wondered how you have found it as a system? Not sure i should be investing in a whole new interchangeable lens system. I have seen some of your 10 stop filter work and it is superb.
