Fuji X-E1/X-E2/X-E2S/X-E3 Owners Thread

I am now down to a 1 lens and 1 camera for the time being and I'm quite happy with it. If you are worried about not being wide enough you could use the panoramic mode. This works very well as gives you the option of left,right,up and down and large or small.

I've used it once or twice with good results but sadly those photos are lost due to a dead laptop and were never backed up. I found it useful to set it in the up direction and then hold the camera in portrait position so I had lots of extra to crop for a nice wide shot.
 
I picked up an X-E1 here last week for £235.00 and absolutely love it (other than the laggy EVF...which I'm sure I'll get used to). I'm so blown away, I've ordered a new one with the 18-55mm lens. So the other one will be going back up here next week :)

I wasn't expecting it to be so light yet so functional. The button layout is so retro cool :D
 
Good shot Jeff and very well processed. I am continually amazed at the quality of the images from the X-E1 of course the quality of the photographer helps too :)

Below is a quickie from me taken with the XE2 plus Samyang 8mm. Not the best image since I could not really control the symmetry in the image or the internal reflections plus this has had just a few seconds of photo editing. Taken from the 100th floor of the SWFC. Importantly, after a 10 hour or so flight I would not have carried any heavier kit around Shanghai for the day so it was the XE2 or nothing. All things considered I am happy !

Thanks for the optimism Simon but they've already told me that City Link did not pick up the cage last night. Promised me delivery tomorrow but it is city link so I can only hope:(
 
So camera arrived yesterday and all seem good. Really love the refresh rate of the new evf so much better and the rear screen is excellent. Just one thing how do I find which firmware I'm running

Does the XE-2 come in a retail box???

When I purchased the XE-1& X20 from them 18months ago they came in a refurb box which was just a box with pics of all the Fuji cameras and some foam packaging. The camera and contents where just rattling around in the box.
I am just checking to see if they have changed there ways.

That's the way my refurb X-E2 arrived a few weeks ago. Didn't consider it a problem myself.

Yep that's how it came but like Dave I didn't see it as a problem. To be honest the camera looks like new

I bought a X-E1 and 18-55mm from the Fuji refurb store a week or so ago.
Have to say I'm well pleased with it, can't really go wrong for 450 quid and can see it getting lots of use

Haven't got any complaints with the AF speed that some have mentioned, in fact struggling to find any downsides at all.

EVF seems fine to me, but I'm used to EVFs.
I'm testing it out with a 50mmF2 Jupiter-8 and so far it seems decent with decent colour and a lot of useful Jpeg tweaks for those who want to dig into that kind of thing.
It might just sway me away from a Sony 7-something in the long run since the edges of my lens are already looking dodgy at APS-C.
 
I hate reading threads like this, they usually cost me money...
...and this one is no different. Went into my local camera store and they had a nice silver X-E2 and 18-55 lens.

Not any more, its currently having its battery charged in my house and I've posted off for the 55-200 freebie.
I thought about the primes, but I already have an X100s, but I might go for the 18mm when I have saved up a bit.

I managed to get a few shots before the battery died, very impressed so far.

Par for the course in my experience. A few shots followed by a dead battery. Still struggling to get 100 shots per charge - that's with three batteries to play with. Must have a duff camera.:(
 
Does sound like a dud Ed, bummer, sure they will sort it out.

Haven't counted on mine, but guessing about 250, gets left switched on wandering about although set to sleep quickly
 
It might be getting another outing today, so I'll shove a freshly charged battery in and see how it goes.

I getting about 250 with mine,100 sound very low do you do much pixel peeping ?
