OK, at first glance it may seem like an unfair fight, but for portraits and landscapes, which would be better?
I have the S5 Pro. It stinks, it's slow, annoyingly so, and it's a pain in the ass. it does however, produce some LOVELY images![]()
Is the S5 slower than the D200? I use a D200 at the moment, but don't find it particularly slow in any respect, and they are basically the same camera apart from the sensor.... in which respect is the S5 slow?

By the way, you are in dundee. Wan't to meet up and you can have an extended play with it?
Gary.
Gary... yeah, that would be good - going back to work next week, so need to get a few things sorted out over the next couple of weeks, but will give you a shout and maybe meet up in Fife somewhere at the weekend sometime soon? Haven't been to any of the harbour villages for a long, long time if you fancy that some Sat/Sun?
I could MURDER a chippie at Anstruther?
I could MURDER a chippie at Anstruther?! Weekend sucks as I have plans, perhaps sometime next week?
I never meant this weekend anyway, mate - after I get settled and sorted at work - maybe in 2-3 weeks would be good for me...![]()

prob not of huge interest but my flickr for the last umpteen pages is s5 pro
Just as well you're not after a curry - saying "I could murder an Indian" doesn't half get you funny looks nowadays![]()

Yeah but Gary. How slow is the S5 compared to the Mamiya?
Second hand S5's don't actually appear to come very cheaply, but I'd probably rather have two bodies (D200, which I love, and S5) rather than the one D300, which it would need to be due to finances... the only downside I can see to this is that neither of them is much use at higher ISO, but bumping up the ISO from 100 is something I very rarely do anyway.
Is the menu structure the same as the D200?
