but he can certainly call a constable to do it for him![]()
A constable? what's one of those? If a lot of folk started using these covers there wouldn't be enough police to, err ........police the issue.
I guess you could cut a hole out for the number plate though. Is it still a requirement that the traffic warden has to write the vehicle make/model on the ticket?

I think most people should be able to back out of thatThey remove the block, when you remove the cover.![]()
I know how you feel, I reported a very similar problem awhile back,I used to use an invisibility cloak for my car.
I used to use an invisibility cloak for my car. But people kept driving into the back of it. You should see the confused look on their faces!
I bought it from the Harry Potter shop. So you only get to use a spell.

Was it really worth it just to save a quid?![]()

And they wonder why people prefer internet shopping to actually going "into town" to shop?
Agreed 110%I say 'they' as in its probably the local council's saying that to mask the probability of it being their fault..
blimey where do you live if its only a quid to park...

we tend to only take the car into town on a Sunday as its free parking then, in the week I use a motorbike as its always free parking.
Traders in Cerdigan reckon that recent...errr...free street parking has led to an increase in trade.
Posts / threads do that they evolve, so no worries you carry onSorry Cobra, I've hijacked your thread to moan about the state of city centres. And I don't even go to them.![]()
Easily solved; just put the cover on before you drive into the car park.![]()

Ah yes Pertrocelli I'd forgotten about him.Wasn't it Petrocelli 70s TV series, Who used to put an out of order cover over parking meters? He was a lawyer so he knew the law. Are there any parking meters left? Never seen one in years![]()
Actually that brings to another point about modern technology.
Although I do like not having to worry about keeping my parking ticket safe, just
have to remember my car registration number to pay(you'd be surprised at how many people
don't and have to go to their cars to find out)
I do wonder whether it makes things easier for car thieves, all they have to do if they see a car
they want is pay for parking and drive out![]()
Not following.
Does knowing the reg and paying for parking gain you access to the car and start it?
Serious question btw.

Switch ya brain on girl,
Means you don't need to put a ticket in barrier machine to get out! Lol

they say the internet killed the high street, I say 'they' as in its probably the local council's saying that to mask the probability of it being their fault..
I still quite like going in town, what I do not like are retail parks.
I'd love this to be true but I bet there is some loop hole or other![]()
Oh well it was a good idea while it lastedErr, "Failure to display parking ticket " renders this null and void straight away !!
All I buy on our local high street is petrol, other than that it's just full of charity shops, takeaways, cafes and Costa Coffees and the like, none of which are of any interest to me.they say the internet killed the high street, I say 'they' as in its probably the local council's saying that to mask the probability of it being their fault..
