If this is National Trust property you might want to be careful about photography, I was reading an article a few weeks ago about how some -photographers were not allowed to take images as the NT wanted the copyright (or something like that).
This is from the NT website:
"The National Trust welcomes amateur photography out-of-doors at its properties. We regret that such photography is not permitted indoors when houses are open to visitors. However, at most properties special arrangements can be made for interested amateurs to take interior photographs by appointment outside normal opening hours. Please contact individual properties for details."
And this is a quote from the Royal Photographic Society forum following a question from a member, the response was apparently from Chris Lacey, Library Manager of the National Trust Photographic Library.
"if the land on which the photographer is standing whilst taking images is owned by the NT, and this land/ attraction is a pay-on-entry property where the photographer has to pay to enter, then unauthorised photography access is forbidden to help protect the intellectual property rights of the NT as a charity. Prior written permission is required, and a contract signed subsequent to the negotiation of fees and conditions. If no ticket has been purchased, and images are taken, then the same conditions of contract are required. In this instance, a donation from the photographer to the NT is always welcome, and is put towards the upkeep of the property."
I don't want to rain on your parade but I thought you should know this.
