No
........just isn't enough BACON for you :-)

I like mine crunchy not sloppy ;)

Yeah crispy for me. Got to be white bread. Red or brown sauce, I swing both ways.

I really don't understand the whole deification of bacon. I haven't eaten it in, um, a good while but IIRC it tastes mainly of salt and crunchiness. I guess lots of people would like that but I'm baffled by the whole "everything is better with bacon" thing.

Crunchy and salty is my favourite. Crisps, chips, peanut butter....

Get out now....just go! :D

Me too.

Though I'm wondering if a little spread of this bacon jam ON a bacon buttie might be quite nice.

They may have 'invented' bacon jam in the Wales, but it's been on the shelves across the pond for years now, and a quick Google search reveals recipes from 2011 knocking around. Nothing new here!

They my call it jam, but it more of a chutney over there.

We have both, especially across the 49th Parallel where the Canucks do enjoy their maple syrup.

Shhhhhh.....don't mention maple syrup.

Oh.....too late.....drool.

Same here, not eaten it in about fifteen years. Yes memories of bacon are very salty and greasy . << is better without it :)

Could explain a few things ;):p

Its certainly not salty anymore.
Greasy, you are / were cooking it wrong :p
Fried it in the pan, but it left the pan knackered. Pan was always caked in bacon residue . Should have grilled it ;)

Should learn to cook :p

Actually, a lot of it is all water these days :(

I am dabbling in baking at the moment, I made a Lemon drizzle cake for the kids today and they loved it ;)

I can cook virtually anything,................... but cakes!

Ahh cakes are my speciality, fruit lemon cake with mixed peel and grated Lemon peel. Squeezed lemon juice with icing, and spread thinly over freshly baked cake. Kids and grand kids love it when we visit, cake all round keeps them all happy :)

I'm not really a lover of cakes TBH, especially those with bits in :p

Your loss, I just had another recipe idea. Its a freshly baked cake surrounded by jaffa cake crumble, and topped with jaffa cake filling. I was thinking of sending you one over

Mine is crispy streaky on brown cranary toast with some quacamole, salsa and a few leaves. Hmmm yum yum.

Almost a BLT, but not quite ;)

It's a posh BLT. Sounds yummy!
Guacamole looks like Mushy peas, Mushy peas go with fish and chips or pie and mash, but not bacon :p

Not even close!
@dejongj go and sit at the back of the room.
Why? What have I done? Is it because I is a foreigner and bastardised a British classic? Don't knock it until you try it. Come on Ruth, close your eyes, put it in your mouth and enjoy the explosion of flavour. It is yummy.

I know it is weird but why do I now fancy a club sandwich? very different but somehow that popped into my mind.
