Is it just me or has the font changed for the site?

Its not your update, the powers that be are trying a new updated font.I did do the update to firefox the other day. So maybe that has done something?
I've just noticed your other post, the font is the same forum wide,Ok, great, thanks.
But really, it would be much better and more in keeping with GUI design principles, if the end user could choose the font *they* prefer, the size of it etc.Actually, I rather like this new font. Seems to be a bit easier on the eyes.
check the link i posted, marcel was going to see if the plugin to enable that would work with our software. But really, it would be much better and more in keeping with GUI design principles, if the end user could choose the font *they* prefer, the size of it etc.
I suspect thats related to the annoying Ad skimwords thing. The page loads default, then the skimwords thing runs, then the tinkered with fonts kick in.Each page that loads for me starts out as one font, then in seconds transforms to another. Very irritating.

Because TP uses the skimwords thing.Only happens in TP![]()
Make 'um stop.Because TP uses the skimwords thing.
Would be nice but somebody probably on a nice little earner...
So could I. Until yesterday, when each new thread entered and it was resetting to microscopic. As I said before though, this "front end" bit which we, the end users use, should be customisable to use whatever font etc, we, the end users want it to be. There is no need for it to be set centrally really. The fact that it has to be is, well, unfortunate.I think I must be the only person who doesn't care about font size as I can make it bigger if I need to by holding control down and using the wheel on my mouse, no drama, easy peasy.![]()
Amen to that.I also am just glad that this site is here and free......
feel free to spend your own time to develop that into the site then.So could I. Until yesterday, when each new thread entered and it was resetting to microscopic. Being a software engineer its possible I could, but I suspect I might need to be a mod before any tinkering is possible.feel free to spend your own time to develop that into the site then.![]()
I think what I am trying to say is, for something that is in the end going to be viewed on a web browser, to have to write plug-ins or change code for it to work as the end user of that would like implies a very poor design. This is not the Admins or MOD faults but an underlying problem with the X*nforo software I imagine.but the point stands. marcel has already said that it would need to be investigated as to whether a user selectable font size plugin would work with the existing code. you should know that this would take time to implement and/or may not be compatible.
which is why this font change came about, someone with eyesight issues mentioned the font was causing problems.Say for instance we have a user with tunnel vision or cataracts or something who finds Comic Sans at font size 26 in bold, the best way for him to read posts.
It does seem a lot of effort, on someones behalf whenWe're going round in circles here, but yes fair enough.
Thats because of the absolute shower hanging round it...I must say the forum font is looking a little stone like and the top is all wet![]()
Adjusted that for youThats because of the absolute shower hanging round it...
Joking! joking!
