weekly Flyphots 52 for 2022: - Week 52 'Showcase'

I'm afraid life (and weather conditions) mean that I just won't get out for a sunrise/set image this week, so i'm reaching into my archives (sorry).

Here's a sunrise at Budleigh Salterton (Otter Head), converted to monochrome for the tech.

I like the image Jim, but I'm thinking you should have held off on the tech until the next challenge. I can't tell if the shot is of a sunrise/sunset or if the colour tone is meant to imply a sunrise/sunset...might be just me though...

Thanks, it's a sunrise (as stated in the post), but actually my consideration was that it doesn't actually matter, given the tech, if it is rise or set ;). Although, to me it looks a cold hue of yellow/orange (if that's possible?!) so does look like morning, but then I took the shot so it could be that it's my subconscious telling me it looks that way.

I think the monochrome toning does lent the (cracking) image a certain early morning chill - great work!

Nicely caught.

works for me Jim. I like this shot with the tech.

I think there's so much in it that it bears monochrome really well. The tint you've chosen really sets it off.

Thanks Nick, appreciate the comments :)

Lovely reflections you've captured and overall great composition. The processing gives it an ethereal feel.

Week 19 - Sport

A bit of a cop out this week i'm afraid, time and 'life' is full at the moment. This is a mobile phone image as well.

A badge that is synonymous with sport saloon cars ...

Sometimes you just have to go with what you get Jim. All good.

Week 20 - Parallel

Life has been very busy recently (hence my lack of comments - sorry all). So here is a catch up:

Week 21 Metal (a 'wriggly tin' sheet in the garden)

Week 22 Treasure (Alfie is my 10 month old treasure!)

Week 23 Solid (solid water)

All great shots Jim

Metal - I like this, it would also have been a good submission for parallel...
Treasure - what a handsome young man. great portrait
Solid - solid for the shot, but not for long :D

Thanks Bill, much appreciated

Nice catch-up Jim. Gorgeous pooch :)

Brilliant pic for Solid, never thought of that. Loving pooch portrait too

A nice set to catch up with. I particularly like your ice shot... the shadows you've created are reminiscent of a mountain range.

Thank you Helen, hopefully a normal (ish) service will return for me soon
